The U.S. Navy purportedly discovered an unidentified flying object in 2004 and was later instructed to hand over the radar footage for it to be deleted, according to a report.
A new account of the incident, published in Popular Mechanics , details an encounter with what the U.S. Navy recently confirmed as an “ unidentified aerial phenomena .”

Goodness gracious! Great balls of fire rained from the sky in Chile last week, and officials are still trying to figure out what they were and where they came from.
Chiloé island resident Bernardita Ojeda had one fireball land on her property, where the flames ignited a few bushes, Ojeda told local news station Channel 2.
Geologists from Chile's National Geology and Mining Service soon arrived to examine the seven sites that had been scorched by the falling space stuff. While they conducted their analyses, the story spread through local news, social media and national outlets.

Union threatens strikes unless Lufthansa makes concessions in wage dispute - CNA
FRANKFURT/BERLIN: A trade union representing Lufthansa's cabin-crew on Wednesday threatened strikes that could fall during the busy Christmas period if Germany's biggest airline does not make concessions in a wage dispute.
Trade union UFO said that if no progress was made during talks, it would announce next Thursday when and where strikes would take place and for how long they would last.
A Lufthansa spokesman said the airline would use the time to try to come to an agreement with UFO, adding that a solution could only be found in joint discussions and arbitration.

On October 1 1995, fishermen Fernando Beserra and Wilson da Silva Oliveira say they were gathering their nets on an island called Ilha do Major, in São Paulo, Brazil, when they saw a disc-shaped UFO which was emitting a bright yellow hue flying overhead.
