QUINCY — City officials used the 285th birthday of President John Adams Friday as a way to encourage civic participation, unity and civility in the context of the upcoming presidential election.
"Unfortunately, this year we couldn't do any of those things because of the pandemic, but we thought it was really important to have this and honor John Adams and his legacy," Westland said. "This has been a nasty election, and this is a nonpartisan event that I hope everyone enjoys."
