On January 17 local time, Billboard announced that NewJeans' hit single " Ditto " had debuted at No. 96 on the Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States), marking the group's first-ever entry on the chart.
With this achievement, NewJeans has become only the fourth K-pop girl group in history to enter the Hot 100, following Wonder Girls, BLACKPINK , and TWICE —and only the fifth K-pop group overall (with the addition of BTS ).
