GROVE CITY, Ohio (WCMH) – The people of Grove City didn't have their annual Memorial Day parade, the big crowd, or the singing, but despite the toned-down service, they did have one thing they didn't have last year – the service itself.
The cemetery in Grove City felt extra special for many who attended Monday's Memorial Day service. Some were reunited together for the first time in more than a year, while others were reminded of why the service matters so much.
One of the event's speakers, Major General John Harris, said he was thankful to be a part of the event, saying that although the big crowds were missing, people still had the chance to pay their respects to their brothers and sisters.
"For a while, it felt like this day was about sales and discounts," he said. "I think that America has realized and placed its attention on places where it needs to be. Taking the time to honor and ensure that we don't forget."

The cold upper-level low that has kept the weather unseasonably chilly and fall-like is finally retreating to the northeast.
Temperatures rebounded to the low 70s, with a light breeze, certainly much better than earlier in the holiday weekend. A southwesterly flow of milder air will develop the remainder of the week, with returning moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.
Sunshine finally broke through the thick weekend overcast, allowing the temperature to increase into the 60s, though still well below the average high in the upper 70s in central Ohio for the end of May.
A trailing upper low kept the weather gray and chilly the past several days, as a series of low-pressure waves drifted off the Mid-Atlantic Coast. The system is finally lifting off to the northeast.

How to get toned arms like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge | Times2 | The Times
It's not often that I feel an affinity with the Duchess of Cambridge. We're both tall brunettes with a fondness for stilettos but there, alas, the similarity ends. Then along came that picture of her getting the jab at the Science Museum and I thought, well, chin up. I might not have any tiaras, not even a little one with not many diamonds, but I do have arms like that. Toned arms. Sculpted arms. The sort of arms you get by having a personal trainer or, in my case, by becoming a fish. Not since Michelle Obama showed us what it means to have good arms have we seen such an excellent example of the genre as our future queen. And me. Did I mention
Georgina Mazzeo Bares Her Insanely Toned Body In Tiny Bikini
Georgina was shot front and center. She popped her right hip to the side and placed her right leg over the other. Her pose helped highlight her hourglass frame. The babe placed her hands on the sides as she gazed at the camera and offered a closed lip smile. The brunette beauty wore her long hair in a middle part and styled in straight strands.
Georgina rocked a scanty two-piece bathing suit made from a stretchy colorful fabric that flattered her skin tone and dark color. The bikini top featured tiny cups that had blue, red, and white colors. The size was rather small on her, but she doesn't feel uncomfortable. In fact, she confidently modeled the garment in front of the camera. In between the fully lined triangle cups, an ample amount of cleavage was visible.
Georgina paired the top with matching bottoms with strings to secure the piece. The front sat low and put the influencer's tight lower tummy on display. According to the tag on the caption and the picture, her two-piece was from Bikinis & More.
In the caption, Georgina wrote a short line from Harry Styles' famous song "Watermelon Sugar," adding a series of emojis.
Georgina's Instagram followers from all over the globe loved the new update. Many of them told her how gorgeous her eyes looked, while some others complimented her for her looks and body.

Two-toned 'kayari buta' mosquito incense burners - Japan Today
Summer is coming. That means long romantic evenings, kakigori for breakfast, lunch AND dinner, and of course, the return of a pest that no one loves. The mosquito.
One of the most commonly used mosquito deterrents in Japan is the katori senko – a green spiral shaped incense that contains insecticide. Whilst these incense coils can be burnt on the metal stand that is often included in the packet, a more popular way is to burn it inside of a traditional pig-shaped ceramic holder, which is known as a kayari buta .
A common sight in summer, the kayari buta adds a little bit of fun to the otherwise mundane mosquito coil.
This summer, the traditional kayari buta are getting a facelift in this stylish collaboration between design company, BEAMS JAPAN, and potters who specialise in making Mie Prefecture's Banko Ware.
Made entirely by hand, the most notable feature in the collaboration is the kayari buta's two-tone design, which is created by carefully submerging the body of the pig in a colored glaze at a horizontal angle.
The traditional pattern on the head and nose – a characteristic of kayari buta – is retained, making this new design a fresh, yet simple crossover between the old and new.
The contrast between the unglazed and glazed halves of the body, make this kayari buta an excellent addition to any interior home decor.
Available in 4 different colors and 2 sizes, this stylish kayari buta is available to purchase from BEAMS JAPAN stores nationwide and online.
How to use: Hook a katori senko onto the wire which is located inside of the pig. For the large kayari buta, a regular katori senko (about 12cm in diameter) can be used, whilst a mini katori senko (about 7cm in diameter) will fit inside the small kayari buta.
Toshiko Mori revamps Brooklyn's Central Library
Oak, bronze and terrazzo are among the materials found in an art deco -style library that has been revamped by New York-based architect Toshiko Mori .
The project marks the first phase in a multi-stage revitalisation of Brooklyn's Central Library, which is located along Grand Army Plaza in the New York City borough of Brooklyn . The facility draws over 1.3 million visitors per year.
The project entailed the refurbishment of existing features and the transformation of administrative areas into public zones. Honey-toned oak, light-coloured flooring and metal accents are found throughout the overhauled spaces.
"We were able to optimise the spatial potential of the Central Branch to engage and respond to the evolving needs of its community and to further its role as an essential civic and community asset," said Japan-born Toshiko Mori , who leads his eponymous studio in New York.
"Its mission of providing knowledge for free to everyone is now enhanced by increased physical and visual access to its resources."
The refresh is visible as soon as visitors enter the building. The library's soaring lobby now features new lighting and a newly poured terrazzo floor, along with historic oak panelling.
A new welcome centre with desks made of white oak and brushed brass is named after Major Owens, a late Congressman who worked as a Brooklyn librarian in the 1950s and 1960s.
Near the library's grand lobby is a "New & Noteworthy" book gallery that offers a non-traditional browsing experience. Titles are curated by librarians and displayed on open-block shelving.
The space features natural white oak panelling, built-in millwork and light-toned terrazzo flooring. A seating area is fitted with curved benches and a ceiling recess with cove lighting.
"Perimeter spaces are finished with bright white interiors, along with new windows bringing light into a formerly windowless concrete interior," the team said. "The floor finishes in these spaces are light-toned carpet tile allowing for easy maintenance."
