Kayla Itsines praised for changing 'outdated' Bikini Body Guide name

"I feel it is the right time to change our approach with BBG and to evolve and use language that feels more positive for women today," the Australian fitness influencer and Sweat app co-founder, who has more than 12.8 million followers, explained in her post.

Itsines's post noted that while the original program name, launched nearly a decade ago, was created with "the positive intent that every body is a bikini body," she hopes to move away from the "bikini body" framing and toward something more inclusive and empowering.

"Since having Arna, I've become even more aware of how important it is that we use language that EMPOWERS women," she told fans. "I want to use language that is completely positive and inspiring for all women and that is the world I want Arna to grow up in. Over the last 10 years I've learnt that how we communicate to women and the language we use really MATTERS.

Many commenters are praising the change, which one follower called a "brave and considerate decision."

"Ah Kayla this is so great!" read one response. "I was talking to my sister about your programs the other day and BBG really stuck in my throat a bit. I'm so glad to see you've thought about this. My sister is 10 years younger than me and hopefully her fitness journey will embrace strength as normality."

"I love this," another commenter wrote. "And I love you acknowledging the impact of language as so many write it off as trivial and unimportant. Way to go."

"As someone who has been part of the Sweat community for the last year, and who also had the OG BBG book back in the day, I have always admired Kayla and her image, but I knew I would never be '[bikini] body' ready," a follower shared. "What matters now is that I am stronger, healthier and happier, and I don't just look at the physical anymore."

From wood paneling to tile countertops and floral couches draped in lace, we've looked through some of the biggest home trends of decades past that might just make you cringe now (including a few that aren't so obvious). Tile countertops were all the rage in the 1970s, but if you'd like to keep your space current, it's best to leave this trend behind. It might have been fabulous in the 70s, but in 2019, avoid wood paneling at all costs.

Smith teamed up with YouTube to document his progress. Planks, squats and more veggies can help you score "quick wins," according to a trainer.

Sandy Liang SpongeBob Vans Release Date | SneakerNews.com

Like most from her generation (myself included), Sandy Liang grew up alongside the colorful characters of Bikini Bottom. And to pay tribute to the show she’s loved for decades, the New York based designer is teaming up with Vans on a commemorative capsule.

Inclusive of footwear and apparel, the collection bridges elements from both Liang’s and SpongeBob ‘s DNA. One of the forthcoming Sk8-Hi 38 DXs, for example, patchworks together the cartoon series’ recognizable clouds with classic heritage-inspired prints. In contrast, the alternate colorway is more a celebration of a different Sandy: the driven, intelligent Sandy Cheeks. This pair, which clashes the palette of its direct opposite, layers the squirrel’s signature flowers over top an ocean-esque blue gradient.

For the apparel, the two opted for far simpler graphics. Both the hoodie and short-sleeve tee dress with the core cast, all rendered in full color and fitted with garb more fashionable than their norm. Sandy Liang’s name also accompanies immediately below.

Take a closer look at the entire range below. A release is currently set to hit Vans.com and select Vans retailers on June 4th in tandem with an inline counterpart.

Kayla Itsines renames Bikini Body Guide BBG fitness brand as High Intensity with Kayla | Daily

Australian fitness queen Kayla Itsines has announced why she's renaming her world-famous Bikini Body Guide workout brand.

The 29-year-old entrepreneur, from Adelaide , confirmed she's replacing her multi-million dollar fitness program 'Bikini Body Guide (BBG)' with 'High Intensity with Kayla' because the old term is 'outdated'.

'It has been almost 10 years since I created BBG with the positive intent that every body is a bikini body. However, I feel the name now represents an outdated view of health and fitness so I'm changing it,' she said.

'I feel it is the right time to change our approach and to evolve and use language that feels more positive for women today. Since having my daughter Arna, I have become even more aware of how important it is to use language that empowers women.'

Kayla said her three fitness programs will remain the same, but each workout will now go under a completely different name such as 'High Intensity Strength with Kayla' and 'High Intensity Zero Equipment with Kayla'.

'I've made the decision to rename my programs from BBG and replace it with 'High Intensity'. The programs themselves are are not changing, it's just the names,' she explained.

'As you can imagine this is a huge moment for me personally as my programs with the BBG name are so well known and have been a massive part of building one of the biggest female fitness communities in the world.

'Hot Tub Meta': Bikini-Clad Twitch Streamers Causing Controversy

These streams have exploded in popularity over the past five months, regularly pulling in thousands of concurrent viewers who watch creators broadcast in bathing suits.

On Twitch, which is known for its video-game streamers, creators earn more sponsorships, brand deals, and money by being more popular. "Hot tub meta" streams can help increase viewership.

Since Just Chatting launched as a section on Twitch in 2018, streamers have been using the category for anything that involves talking to the camera. It's common to see it as the top category with the most viewers on the platform, beating out established gaming staples like "League of Legends" or "Grand Theft Auto V." Streamers have used the section to experiment with content, sometimes pushing the boundaries of the platform.

Over the past five years, Twitch, which is now owned by Amazon, has tried to evolve past its original image as a website for gamers and video-game content. The platform has introduced sections for other activities like walking outside, painting, cooking, and just chatting with fans.

Skimming the thin line between sexually suggestive and sexual content, hot tub streams push the boundaries of what some think Twitch should be.

Top content creators on the platform, like Asmongold and Félix Lengyel, who is known as XQC online, have been critical of the movement, labeling it a "loophole" of the platform's Terms of Service.

XOAeriel says the platform's rules are "enforced with some ambiguity" and she has "seen people get banned for seemingly small infractions that are open to interpretation and seen people blatantly break rules without punishment."

Defenders of the movement have said that this grey area allows bad-faith actors to disguise misogyny as care to invalidate the work of these streamers.

Dr. Oz and bikini-clad wife look so in love during tropical beach vacation | HELLO!

The popular TV doctor posted a video of them on a boat in a tropical destination as he treasured the magical memory of dolphins swimming beside them.

Both he and his longtime wife were beaming in the photo in which Dr. Oz - whose full name is Dr. Mehmet Oz - was dressed in casual shorts and a t-shirt and Lisa donned a white bikini and coverup.

She had her hand resting gently on her husband's leg and he had his arm wrapped around her shoulders.

Behind the couple were two dolphins leaping out of the water and Mehmet captioned the post:  "Still smiling thinking about the beautiful dolphins we saw in Key West."

He didn't say when the vacation had taken place but his fans adored both their interaction and the stunning scenery.

"The best, I love Key West," wrote one, while a second said: "So gorgeous." One social media follower commented: "Your wife is a really beautiful lady," and Mehmet agreed, writing back: "I'm a lucky guy."

Lisa opened up to Sharecare.com about what makes their relationship work when she said: "One of the things, I think, that has kept us together is the fact that we never get bored of each other, but more importantly, we try not to take each other for granted, and when we are appreciative and grateful for our relationships, it keeps little things in perspective."

Kelsea Ballerini Stuns Drunk In Bikini For Cinco De Mayo - The Inquisitr

Kelsea Ballerini wasn't above admitting she was 100% drunk while stunning in a strapless bikini for Cinco De Mayo. The 27-year-old country singer, whose hit tracks include "Hole In The Bottle," today wowed her Instagram followers with gorgeous snapshots for the annual 5 May calendar date, with the "homecoming queen?" hit-maker calling the photos a "series of me drunk in Mexico." Posting sun-drenched shots for her 2.3 million followers, the blonde quickly saw the in-jokes flying in. See why below.

Scroll for the photos. Kelsea, who has been honest throughout the pandemic and even called her dates at Chick-Fil-A a "weekly" date last year, opened with a blissful lawn shot while backed by a hammock as she bronzed herself. The Tennessee native, lying back while in a tiny strapless brown bikini, showed off her gorgeous figure and love of the outdoors, soaking up the Vitamin D, then sharing an indoor masked selfie.

Also sharing lagoon shots with friends, the star posted a gallery that definitely seemed, in parts, alcohol-infused.

Also including a dinner shot in a gorgeous glittery dress, the rising hit-maker took to her caption with a bit of a confess. "Happy cinco de mayo," she wrote, adding: "Here is a series of me drunk in Mexico."

Fans don't care how much alcohol is in Kelsea's system, although they more than welcomed the caption. Leading the way is a comment clearly referencing the star's "Hole In The Bottle" track, with the fan writing: "There was a hole in the bottle of tequila 🍹." Swipe below for the full gallery - scroll for her McDonald's socks.

Quick to leave a like was 30-year-old actress and sister to Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn . The post doesn't come as the first alcohol mention from Ballerini, who made 2020 headlines for posing with a glass of wine from her bed and rocking super-cute McDonald's socks, seen below.

As to the lagoon photo in today's batch, it may well have seen the same setting as manifested recently on Earth Day. Kelsea had posted in a tangerine two-piece and from waters as she thanked Mother Earth with a poem-come-song.

"Ive seen more of your shores than ever imagined
red and gold sunsets persuasive of magic
birds-eyed Grand canyons and dove waterfalls
wandered through woodlands, wild oaks rising tall."

In one clip, she showed off her toned physique in the swimwear as she prepared for some relaxation, giving a thumbs up to the camera.

Janette treated herself to a relaxing visit in a darkened room, as some calming music played, and to a "sauna for one."

A second clip saw her nodding with glee in a white bathrobe as she prepared to lounge in a sauna, as she whispered "nice" into the camera.

But her last clip was tinged with a little bit of sadness, as the professional dancer admitted that she didn't "want to leave" as she wandered around.

And it wasn't just the swimwear that showed how prepared Janette was for her spa visit, as she also took along a small water bottle with her.

Janette's small day out came after she gave fans a bittersweet update . She shared that her husband, Aljaz Skorjanec , had started rehearsals for his new show Here Come the Boys .

The dance tour, which was originally planned to be nationwide but had to be stripped back because of the coronavirus pandemic, features her husband alongside current Strictly stars Graziano Di Prima and Nadiya Bychkova.
