Lady Gaga has responded to a fan campaign that pushed her 2013 album ‘Artpop’ up iTunes charts around the world, revealing that she “always believed it was ahead of its time”.
On April 13, #buyARTPOPoniTunes went viral on Twitter as fans of Gaga’s began campaigning for a ‘Act II’ to the album.
Subsequently, the album rose up iTunes charts globally, hitting Number Three in the US just after Taylor Swift ‘s re-release of ‘Fearless’ and DMX ‘s greatest hits album ‘The Best Of DMX’.
Responding to the campaign, Lady Gaga took to social media to say that it “has inspired such a tremendous warmth in (her) heart”.
“I fell apart after I released this album. Thank you for celebrating something that once felt like destruction.”
“We always believed it was ahead of its time,” she continued. “Years later turns out, sometimes, artists know. And so do little monsters. Paws up.”
'Artpop Act II' was set to contain unheard songs that were intended to follow 2013's 'Artpop' but the project was never released publicly.
“The song is called 'Do What U Want (With My Body)' and I think it's clear how explicitly twisted my thinking was at the time.”
Lady Gaga Stuns in a Wedding Dress on the Set of 'House of Gucci'
Marvel at These Photos From House of Gucci, the Most Mesmerizing Film You've Never Seen | Vanity
Few movies, let alone production stills, have been able to capture the zeitgeist the way House of Gucci has. For weeks now, the upcoming film from Ridley Scott —starring Oscar-winning pop sensation Lady Gaga and Oscar-nominated perennial internet boyfriend Adam Driver, with Oscar winners Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and Jeremy Irons in supporting roles—has driven the internet to distraction based solely on the strength of its set photos. Look! There's Adam Driver and Lady Gaga decked out in impeccable '80s ski attire, posing together on the deck of some fabulous ski chalet. Gasp! A brunette Lady Gaga forcefully shoves a calzone down Adam Driver's throat. The photos are gaudy, bawdy, aggressively Italian, and most importantly, seem to have all the ingredients necessary to make an incredible motion picture.
Unfortunately for humankind, there's no House of Gucci footage available for public consumption just yet. So in the meantime, we will be paying way too much attention to the best production stills, losing ourselves in the Italian decadence of House of Gucci —and speculating as to what this film, which has already given us so much, has in store.
The picture that launched a thousand tweets. Backed by a stunning snowy landscape, Gaga and Driver are serving après-ski eleganza, cozied up together on the deck of the ski chalet in their black and white snow gear. Gaga's white Cossack hat and jewelry combined look like they're worth approximately six months' rent (plus utilities), and Chris Evans 's Knives Out cable-knit sweater wants what Adam Driver's House of Gucci sweater has. At first glance, they look like the picture-perfect couple, but if you look into Gaga's eyes, you can see she's plotting something…
Gaga stands next to a pool, in a shoulder-less white minidress, matching shawl, and black belt, dutifully listening to a member of production. It's a simple photo, but at least suggests that we may be getting some stunning scenic shots from the Scott film, which was shot on location in Italy. Molto bello !
Sporting the same white ensemble, Gaga is photographed wearing a fur coat that can only be described as " J.Lo 's Hustlers coat, but make it fashion." Is this coat featured in the film? Or was the star merely cold in between takes? From the looks of it, Gaga wears a lot of stunning outerwear in the film, so it's probably the former. In either case, she looks warm and happy.
If the production stills are any indication, Gaga's Patrizia Reggiani style changes over the years, and this photo definitely captures her in her Kris Jenner era. Gaga is caught behind the scenes rocking a brunette momager haircut, thick black eyeliner, and a leather skirt. She's also sporting a jaguar-like pendant and can be seen screaming and crying in other stills in the same outfit. Is this when it all starts going south for Patrizia? If only she had the real Kris Jenner on speed dial in the mid '90s.
Adam Driver is famously a big dude. His size has been used to great effect in projects such as Girls , Star Wars , and when he punched that wall in Marriage Story . But never before has his six-foot-two frame been put to better use than in this picture, where he is gingerly carrying Stefani Germanotta in or out of a wooden gondola. He is so large in his white turtleneck while she is so small in her plaid jacket. And yes, there is something inherently cinematic about that juxtaposition. Why would this petite woman betray her large husband? We'll have to wait and see.
Here's How Lady Gaga Amassed Her Reported $320 Million Net Worth
Lady Gaga rose to fame back in 2008 when she released her first song, the record-breaking pop-synth smash "Just Dance". After her second single "Poker Face" came out, it already obvious that Lady Gaga — who is often referred to as Mother Monster by her fans — is the strongest contender for the title of the next queen of pop.
Today Lady Gaga is considered one of the most successful and versatile artists not only in the music industry but in the fashion and movie industries as well. That is why it shouldn't come as a surprise that she has a net worth of a whopping $320 million. If you've ever wondered just how Gaga managed to achieve that you're at the right place— keep on scrolling to find out just how she amassed her net worth.
With more than 124 million records sold worldwide, Lady Gaga is considered one of the best-selling music artists ever. In fact, her album and single sales are some of the main reasons why Gaga is one of the highest-ranking pop divas when it comes to net worth.
She's released six albums and thirty-one singles as a lead artist so far, and she's working on another album with Tony Bennett, which will certainly help her net worth increase even more.
When it comes to music, Lady Gaga is not only a singer — she's a songwriter as well, and that's another way she earns money. Not only did she write her own most popular songs, but she also wrote for other artists such as Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
According to Rolling Stone , Gaga earned $728,000 in songwriting royalties for only one song, "Poker Face". Add to that sum royalties from some of her other biggest hits, such as "Bad Romance" and "Shallow" and Gaga's earnings from songwriting will skyrocket drastically.
Just like most of her fellow pop divas, Gaga too has her own perfumes. Her first perfume, 'Fame', was released back in 2012 and it was a huge success — it has sold over 30 million bottles worldwide, earning over 1.5 billion dollars in profits. Her second scent, Eau de Gaga, wasn't as successful as its predecessor, but it did manage to become the tenth best-selling perfume for 2014.
In 2015 Mother Monster teamed up with the Japanese beauty brand Shiseido — she starred in an ad and released over 50 selfies she made, as a part of Shiseido's marketing campaign. In addition, Gaga also the face of an ad campaign for the famous jewllery Tiffany & Co, and she is currently also a celebrity ambassador for the luxury Swiss-watch company Tudor .
In September 2019 Gaga launched her own makeup line, Haus Laboratories. Just like almost everything else she's done throughout her career, this too was commercially successful — with over $140 million earned, her vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand ended up as the third best-selling celebrity makeup brand of 2020, just after Rihanna's Fenty Beauty and Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics.
Grammy records, history, and milestones that may be achieved in 2022 - GoldDerby
With the Grammy eligibility period for the 2022 ceremony more than halfway done already, let’s consider which artists are looking for more than just an award. This year we saw Beyoncé break the all-time record for most Grammy wins by a female artist, Taylor Swift nab a record-breaking third Album of the Year win, and key noms and wins for Megan Thee Stallion , Roddy Ricch , and Jacob Collier . Who’s poised to break more records and make more history next year?
With his highly anticipated album alongside Anderson Paak as the super duo Silk Sonic , Bruno Mars could make history in a couple of ways. First off, an Album of the Year win for “An Evening With Silk Sonic” would be Mars’ third Album of the Year win (he previously won as a producer on Adele ‘s “25” and for his own album “24K Magic”). That would enter him into an elite club of three-time winners in that category, joining producers David Foster , Daniel Lanois , Phil Ramone , and Ryan Tedder , engineers Tom Coyne , Serban Ghenea , John Hanes , Tom Elmhirst , Mike Piersante , and Bob Ludwig , and performers Paul Simon , Stevie Wonder , Taylor Swift, and Frank Sinatra .
If Silk Sonic manages to win Record of the Year as well — for their current hit “Leave the Door Open” or perhaps another forthcoming single — then Mars would be a three-time category winner there as well, following his victories for “Uptown Funk” and the title song from “24K Magic.” With that, he would tie Paul Simon as the most awarded performer in the category.
Additionally, a Song of the Year win would make Mars a two-time winner in that category, so he’d join Henry Mancini , Johnny Mercer , James Horner , Will Jennings , U2 , and Adele as the only songwriters to win multiple times. “Leave the Door Open” co-writer D’Mile would also join this list since he won this year alongside H.E.R. and Tiara Thomas for “I Can’t Breathe”; D’Mile would also become the first to win Song of the Year in consecutive years. On top of all of that, a Silk Sonic sweep would make Mars only the second artist to win all three of those categories twice (Adele achieved this in 2012 and 2017).
Recently crowned Album of the Year winner Taylor Swift (“ Folklore “) is back again for next year’s Grammys with her ninth studio album, “ Evermore .” The album came out just a few months after “Folklore” and was met with similar critical acclaim, with praise for Swift’s continued move into more sophisticated songwriting and storytelling. And it was also produced by Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff , who won Album of the Year with Swift this past March. A fourth Album of the Year win for Swift would make her the only performer ever to win the award four times, male or female.
Swift’s “Evermore” could also make her only the third artist to win Best Pop Vocal Album twice, as only Adele and Kelly Clarkson have achieved that feat. Ariana Grande could also become a two-time winner with her album “Positions,” which so far is the bestselling female album of 2021 . Grande previously won for “Sweetener,” while Swift won with “1989.”
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett ’s highly anticipated followup to their number-one collaboration album “Cheek to Cheek” is expected this year and could help both make Grammy history. The album, which will likely compete in Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, could give Gaga two wins in every pop category except Pop Vocal Album, which she only won once for “The Fame Monster.” She has already won two solo performance awards with “Bad Romance” (in the previously gendered Female Pop Vocal category) and “Joanne” (in the current gender-consolidated Pop Solo category), two Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammys for “Shallow” and “Rain On Me,” and this new album could give her a second Traditional Pop Vocal Album win after “Cheek to Cheek.”
Lady Gaga believes Britney Spears has an influence on her
Pop diva Britney Spears and Lady Gaga are known for the separate identity they both have created for themselves as pop icons. The two top ladies of the pop culture have some dots connecting them as the Poker Face hitmaker takes the other as her inspiration.
The 35-year-old singer also went to the extent of recording a demo version of the song for Spears' sixth studio album Circus. However, Britney Spears, who Lady Gaga believes has influenced her, did not accept it which Gaga reclaimed for her 2009 EP The Fame Monster.
For her global hit "Telephone," Lady Gaga also collaborated with another musical icon, Beyoncé. The two stars also collaborated on a 2009 remix to "Video Phone," a track from Beyoncé's third studio album, I Am… Sasha Fierce.
The Gaga-Spears connection could not go as planned however, the two worked together as Gaga wrote the little-known "Quicksand" for the Princess of Pop. Not included in the main tracklisting for Spears' Circus album, the song is listed as a bonus track on some European versions of the deluxe edition.
It was a delight deal for Lady Gaga, who expressed her joy, saying in 2009, "It was awesome seeing the song change when [Britney] put her touches on it."
"I'm just really grateful that she loves the music and she's so supportive of me. She's a fan of my stuff and to write a song that she loves and to know she loves me as an artist, you can't ask for anything better than that."

Rather than coming from a showbiz dynasty like so many other celebs, Gaga is the first person in her family to become a world-renowned superstar with many adoring fans. She rose to fame in 2007 as a songwriter for big artists like The Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block for Interscope records. Gaga was discovered by Akon when he watched her perform at a burlesque show and signed her to his record label.
"Why being an Aries can help you become famous👀 Welcome back to "In The Stars" with @shawtyherbs #astrologytiktok #ladygaga #astrology
Lady Gaga having her north node at the first degree means that she was destined to be the first one in her family to achieve fame. Mariah Carey, born on March 27, 1969, is another example of this Aries phenomenon. She has Venus at the 25th degree, which is ruled by Aries. Venus is a planet that can represent music, and we know that Carey is pretty good at that, having sold more than 200 million records worldwide and won five Grammys. She's released 19 number one singles, with 1996's "One Sweet Day" sitting on top of the charts for a record-breaking sixteen consecutive weeks. Her seasonal hit "All I Want For Christmas" has become her signature, becoming the most-streamed song on Spotify over a 24-hour period in 2018, and frequently being voted as the most popular Christmas song of all time.
Lady Gaga's Role On The Sopranos You Forgot About
How did Miss Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta contribute to the first show in the now ubiquitous antihero genre ? Let's delve in and have a look.
HBO's The Sopranos set the tone for many antihero dramas that followed when it premiered in 1999, ushering in the new golden age of television. Perhaps it's fitting that a story about a ruthless Italian-American Mafia boss grappling with all the horrible things he's done and seeking psychiatric help would be Lady Gaga's first acting role — not necessarily for the psychiatric help part, but for the Italian-American part. Stefani Germanotta is proudly of Italian heritage.
Gaga's small, uncredited role was in the season 3 episode " The Telltale Moozadell ," airing in April 2001. The season focuses more on mob boss Tony Soprano's relationship with his two children, Meadow, played by Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and A.J., played by Robert Iler. While A.J. decides that it's more important to impress girls and cause trouble (like his dear old dad?) than do well in school, he risks his burgeoning football career in the process. In the episode , A.J. and his friends try to impress a group of girls on the football field's bleachers by sneaking into the school, swimming in the pool, breaking into a teacher's office, and trashing the pool area with the teacher's stuff. As you can probably guess, one of the girls A.J. tries to impress is none other than the Mother Monster herself, Ms. Germanotta. Perhaps if A.J. knew then what a huge, influential star one of those girls would turn out to be, he'd have done something different to impress her.
