Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley to Drop Solo EP | PEOPLE.com

The country singer, 35, announced on Instagram Tuesday that he will be releasing his EP, BK's Wave Pack , on April 13. This will be Kelley's first standalone project while being a member of country duo Florida Georgia Line with Tyler Hubbard . 

"It's time to set sail! 🌊 I'm beyond excited to announce #BKsWavePack EP drops one week from today on 4/13," wrote Kelley. "Bringing summertime a little early with 'Beach Cowboy,' 'Made By The Water,' 'Party On The Beach' and 'Sunday Service in the Sand.'"

The self-proclaimed "beach cowboy" has been teasing the forthcoming release of solo music for the past few days, posting a video on March 31 with the caption: "There's a new kind of cowboy in town... who's ready to ride this wave?"

The four songs on the EP are a mix of " party-all-day Pop" and "love-all-night Country" as Kelley co-produced the entire project with country songwriter Corey Crowder.

While both Kelley and Hubbard are currently pursuing solo endeavors, as Hubbard released his single "Undivided" featuring Tim McGraw in January, the duo assured fans that Florida Georgia Line would not be breaking up .

"It's a beautiful place to be, like BK said, to be able to venture out and have a voice of our own and have individuality a little bit. We've always been a package deal," Hubbard said. "Just to clarify, FGL is not breaking up so anyone who says that, from the mouth of Tyler and BK."

Brian Kelley , best known as being a member of the band Florida Georgia Line , is pursuing his solo music career under a new label.

The musician has a new partnership with Warner Music Nashville and formed Nashville South Records, Billboard reported. Kelley plans on releasing a full album by the end of the year. 

"I couldn't be more grateful for everyone who has helped me on my journey to get here. I'm humbled to team up with Warner Music Nashville to take the music I've been dreamin' and schemin' up to the next level," Kelley told the outlet. "This is just the beginning of a whole new adventure. My vision for what's next is a vibe and state of mind – get ready to ride the wave with ya Beach Cowboy, y'all!"

Kelley teased his new music on social media Wednesday. "There's a new kind of cowboy in town... who's ready to ride this wave?" he wrote. 

"We are honored that Brian Kelley chose WMN as home to his solo endeavors," said Warner Music Nashville EVP A&R Cris Lacy. "I've been an FGL believer from day one, and BK's clear vision for himself and his upcoming project is a testament to his heart, soul, and talent. His new music is the perfect antidote to 2020, and what an incredible way to start 2021!"

In January, the pair confirmed that they're releasing solo music but not breaking up. "We love our fans and want to share with you guys everything we are working on and excited about this year. Here's to 2021 being the BEST YEAR YET. Let's gooooo!" FGL tweeted . 

"We created this freedom around ourselves that we can do whatever we want to do creatively and musically," he added.

In November, FGL confirmed they took a little break from each other because of  differing views on the election .

Florida Georgia Line member Brian Kelley is preparing to release his first solo album later this year and has inked a partnership with record label Warner Music Nashville (home to Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton and more) for his upcoming solo music, according to an exclusive report from Billboard . The partnership will form Nashville South Records as an outlet for Kelley’s upcoming solo music.

Kelley also teased his new music on Instagram on Tuesday (March 30), by wiping his Instagram profile clean and uploading a single music video clip with a vibe that’s equal parts western and coastal.

The video is captioned, “There's a new kind of cowboy in town… who's ready to ride this wave?”

In January, Kelley and his FGL bandmate Tyler Hubbard revealed that they would each be working on separate musical projects this year. Hubbard recently teamed with Tim McGraw to release the song "Undivided," and with newcomer Lathan Warlick on the track "My Way."
