Doja Cat has hopped on her own Silhouette Challenge bandwagon and then some in her newly released video for “Streets,” and guess what, we’re obsessed.
4 minutes and 33 seconds later... Okay now that we got that out of our system, it’s time for the other kind of break down, y’know… where we talk about the music video and it’s various intricacies.
The Christian Breslauer directed visual starts off with Doja posing in a shop’s window display looking regal AF, and as the beat drops so do the clothes and lights leaving only the signature red filter (you know the one) with her dimly lit figure taking center stage.

Alpha Gal: Why More Chinese Women are Choosing to Dress Bossy
"A" — short for "alpha" — is often used together with “sa” (飒), which translates to "super cool" or "swag." The phrase "又A又飒" ( yòu A yòu sà ) has therefore become the latest way to praise the style of a strong and confident woman.
A term that originated from the world of Chinese internet fandom, " chao A" (超A, or "super alpha") was propelled into popular lexicon in 2020, the year that saw women's issues at the forefront of Chinese pop culture . Trending topics about gender equality on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo soared alongside hit shows Sisters Who Make Waves and Nothing But Thirty , whose female stars were praised for their fierce fashion and onstage energy.
Kim Kardashian's 'DWTS' Appearance Involved a Judge Telling Her She Wasn't
Keeping Up with the Kardashians has topped ratings for years now. It was not by accident either, since Kris Jenner or “momager” knows exactly what to do when the opportunity presents itself. The same ambitious quality is in her daughter Kim Kardashian West, who was the one front and center in attracting KUWTK viewers and ratings .

Book Review: 'The Fourth Child,' by Jessica Winter - The New York Times
I was 12 at the time and have a vague memory of my parents calling me into the room to watch, presumably to teach me a lesson in appreciating what I had (them). The children were essentially warehoused in asylums, strapped to beds in dark rooms — and, as a result of neglect, remained toddler-size despite being far older.
The title of the novel is a reference to Mirela, the girl Jane adopts after having given birth to a daughter, Lauren, and to two sons who are mostly interchangeable. The story, however, belongs to Jane — and to a somewhat lesser degree Lauren, who was born shortly after Jane graduated from high school.
Happy social security birthday Barbie Millicent Roberts!
A line utilized during the 1970's by Consumers Markets, a now defunct regional supermarket chain, to promote their in-store bakery was "Every day is somebody's birthday – don't forget the cake!". That line made an impression on me because it made me realize that every day someone, somewhere has a birthday.
On March 9, 1959, Barbie made her debut at the American Toy Fair in New York City and became popular with young girls.
Barbie's inspiration came from Lilli, first a German comic strip character and then a sexy doll considered inappropriate for children. Ruth Handler, co-founder of Mattel Toys, brought back some Lilli dolls and used them to create her own version – Barbie, named for her daughter.
'Behind Her Eyes': Clever Writing That Scares Me – Black Girl Nerds
Netflix's Behind Her Eyes is clever. The six-part limited series is based on the best-selling book of the same name by British writer Sarah Pinborough. Fellow Brit Stephen Lightfoot, a writer and executive producer on the TV show Hannibal , is the executive producer .

They share a delicious kiss after an evening of unexpected soul connection. David turns out to be Louise's new boss and is married to Adele (Eve Hewson) a young wealthy cis-straight woman.
"Double Standard" | Happy International Women's Day - Guitar Girl Magazine
Being a woman in the music industry is full of up's and down's. It is fulfilling and inspiring to be around so many amazing female musicians that believe in pushing beyond the boundaries set for us by the way the music business is set up. I am always here to uplift women supporting women. That's why I was excited to share a new single "Double Standard", a feminist anthem by Jayelle Gerber.
“I started writing "Double Standard" a couple months ago from a place of deep frustration and fatigue. I felt angry, embittered, and exhausted. Existing as a woman in our society means being constantly held to an unstable and contradictory standard of perfection that is impossible to achieve and draining to attempt. We are supposed to be sexy but not promiscuous, assertive but not bossy, attractive but not vain – the list goes on and on.
