Ms. Roberts's big acting break came in her mid-20s, when she was cast in the fifth and last season of "Charlie's Angels," the ABC drama series that, trading on its stars' sex appeal, followed the exploits of three attractive former police officers who often fought crime wearing short shorts, low-cut blouses and even bikinis.
The show was an immediate hit in 1976, but Farrah Fawcett, its breakout star, left after one season, replaced by Cheryl Ladd. Kate Jackson quit in 1979, and her replacement, Shelley Hack, was gone after just one season. Ms. Roberts replaced Ms. Hack. Jaclyn Smith appeared throughout the series run.

When Hayes recently announced her final college basketball choices, it happened to be eight that stood out to her.
The youngest of the four talented Hayes sisters, Acacia announced recently that she has narrowed her choices to Mississippi State, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Clemson and Georgia Tech.
"I just knew who I had the closest relationships with," Hayes said. "With some others, the relationships weren't that close. I thought about all the schools, asked myself if I could see myself at the schools that contacted me on Sept. 1, and came down to these eight."

Local girl scout troop donates food to children feeding program
Monday, Jan, 4, 2021 Troop 51264 donated food to the organization One Voice. The food will be given to children in the area as part of their food for angels program.

“We’ve donated to their food for angels program several times, as well as their blessing box out front. It’s a wonderful organization that helps a lot of people,” Brandstetter said,
“Sometimes it’s possible to get a hot meal at school but over the weekend, sometimes that doesn’t happen for kids. So, we are glad to be in partnership with this troop,” Terry explained.

There's a lot riding on this show, what with it being an actual concrete thing for us to look forward to in 2021. But even if none of the new characters can truly take up the chaotic mantle left by the 00s cast, we can at least bask in the glory of their preppy fashion . It's the little things.
Bishop Stang's Declan Markey red-hot to open 2021 basketball season
Declan Markey has been red-hot to open the basketball season, scoring a combined 67 points over Bishop Stang's first two games, but the Spartans came up short both times.
They lost to Bishop Fenwick 81-76 in overtime of their season opener on Dec. 28 despite 38 points and eight rebounds from Markey. Ethan Clark chipped in with 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
Then on Sunday in a 73-57 loss to Austin Prep, Markey led the way with 29 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Luis Vega added 14 points, three rebounds and three steals.
