SELLERSBURG — Class 3A No. 1 Silver Creek hit a school-record 14 3-pointers en route to an 89-37 victory over visiting Austin in a Mid-Southern Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
Seniors Alana Striverson and Marissa Gasaway scored 18 points apiece to lead the way for the Dragons while Emme Rooney added 12 and Jaclyn Emly 11. Striverson and Emly hit three 3-pointers apiece while Rooney, Abby Grimm and Sydney Sierota hit two each.

After an even played second quarter, Chadron held the Lady Bulldogs to just a single lay-up in the third quarter as the lead grew to 22.
Chadron’s third win in a row improves their record to 8-5 on the season. They are at Gering next Friday.
The Chadron boys held a 2-0 lead over Alliance for almost half of the first quarter but the Bulldogs ended the quarter on a 9-0 en route to a 66-32 win over the Cardinals on Friday night.

Sebring's girls basketball team beats Kingsway Christian
ORRVILLE — Led by seniors Emma Whaley and Aebi D'Ostroph, the Sebring's girls basketball team torched the nets early and rolled to a 69-37 win over Kingsway Christian on Saturday.
"They hit a lot of shots today," said Sebring's Katy Butler, who was acting head coach for the day. "They all played really well — they were ready to go today."
"When the snowball starts going downhill you can't stop it," said Kingsway Christian coach Jaime Fryberger of Sebring's red-hot shooting in the first half. "And that's what really happened."
