HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Idaho Falls girls basketball continues hot start with road win over Shelley

Three Tigers scored in double figures, led by Megan Hurst, who posted 21 points. Macy Cordon supplied 16 and Abbey Corgatelli added 11 for Idaho Falls, which has already earned half as many wins in three games (2) than it did all of last season (4).

The Tigers also sank 7 of 13 free throws, including a 6-for-8 mark in the fourth quarter from Corgatelli.

Brinley Cannon recorded a team-best 20 points for Shelley, which kept Idaho Falls star Kennedy Robertson in foul trouble and off the scoreboard entirely — but it wasn't enough.

cheshireherald.com - Rams Girls' Volleyball Ends Year On Hot Streak, Claims 14th SCC

The Cheshire High School girls' volleyball program holds themselves to a high standard of traditional success. So back on Oct. 26 when the Rams lost to host Lyman Hall, 3-0, for the first time in 22 years, the team knew that they needed to make a change.

"That LH match was huge for our season," reflected senior setter Sarah Holley. "We had a player's only meeting where we said that had to pick it up and play with more energy."

While the Rams lost their rivalry win streak and unbeaten season last month, they used the setback to fuel a late-season surge. Not only did CHS win their last five matches, they didn't drop a set in any of them.

They may have started late, but Hubbard's Lady Jags are making up for it in with heart and talent on the basketball court.

The Lady Jags were so busy winning and advancing to the Region Quarterfinals in volleyball that just about everyone else jumped out to a fast start in basketball this season, but the same Lady Jags who rewrote volleyball history at Hubbard are off to a fantastic start in hoops.

They won again this week with a tough and gutty 37-30 win over Valley Mills as eight players scored for Hubbard.

She Was a Star Before 'Emily in Paris' - The New York Times

Big Break: Ever since she was "out of the womb," she said, Ms. Park has been something of a song-and-dance wunderkind. She joined a pint-size dance academy at 3 and studied classical piano using the Suzuki Method at 5. At Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, she starred in plays directed by visiting drama students from the nearby University of Michigan, where she majored in musical theater.

Six months after she graduated, she debuted on Broadway in the 2014 stage adaptation of "Mamma Mia!" "The first time I really was able to throw myself into a character was wild," she said. "I knew I wanted to keep doing that."

In case you are keeping track:

In this, the year of our 'WAP,' raunch rap doyennes City Girls return to stake their claim |

Parked outside of the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta, 27-year-old Jatavia "JT" Johnson — one half of the Miami-born rap duo City Girls — sits inside a black Escalade, donning her finest gold-rimmed Fendi sunglasses for a Zoom call. Meanwhile, her partner in hip-hop, Caresha "Yung Miami" Brownlee, also 27, dials in from her home in South Florida.

Sitting next to JT, Uzi recites the lyrics to the City Girls' boisterous new single, "Pussy Talk," into the phone. The track just got a fresh remix by Quavo, Lil Wayne and Jack Harlow — and in this moment, Uzi. "Boy, this pussy talk English, Spanish and French," he raps at top volume.

SPRINGFIELD - On what felt like the coldest night of the year thus far, the Central girl's soccer team came out hot Wednesday en route to a 9-0 win over crosstown rival Duggan at Berte Field.

"I'm really proud of our girls," Golden Eagles coach Thomas Pereira said. "They all did what they needed to do by getting tested, and they always came out with a positive attitude. It's been a fun group to coach, and, unfortunately, I couldn't take them through a full season because we had a good thing going with our team this week."
