Sports Illustrated is a sporting magazine. With less to cover in the winter months, over 50 years ago, an idea was created. Editor Andre Laguerre came up with the idea to create a Swimsuit edition of the magazine for the Winter months.
Now, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is believe to bring in $35 million in revenue, according to 2005 numbers.
