Have you ever heard the saying “if you want something done, give it to a busy person” I have heard it more times than I can count because often I was that busy person. Some days I guess I still am but I’m learning a new skill. The skill of enjoying the calm. Enjoying the quiet.
As early back as a few years ago, I would have a couple jobs on the go, lots of evening and weekend commitments. A ton of projects on the go. I was in “go go go” mode. You know what? That’s EXHAUSTING. Being busy used to be my badge of honor. Then I settled down, had kids (a whole other kind of busy right?) and I didn’t want to be the “go go go” girl anymore. I have all I have ever wanted. I’m content. I’m happy.
