Viewers of the early stages of Netflix show Too Hot To Handle have been left annoyed by the lack of airtime Irish beauty Nicole gets.

The Cork singleton is the only Irish representative in the show which first aired on Netflix on Friday.

The premise of the show sees a group of attractive singles put on a beach resort to find a connection, however they cannot kiss or be involved in any sexual activity.

Ventilator from old car parts? Afghan girls pursue prototype - World News - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — On most mornings, Somaya Farooqi and four other teen-age girls pile into her dad's car and head to a mechanic's workshop. They use back roads to skirt police checkpoints set up to enforce a lockdown in their city of Herat, one of Afghanistan's hot spots of the coronavirus pandemic.

After the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, girls returned to schools, but gaining equal rights remains a struggle. Farooqi is undaunted. "We are the new generation," she said in a phone interview. "We fight and work for people. Girl and boy, it does not matter anymore."

Two-thirds of the students were girls. They studied together with boys in the same classrooms (something forbidden by the Taliban). They scored the highest marks, and their families were proud.

It was early 2002, I think, when I was 6 — shortly after the Taliban were overthrown following the American-led invasion of Afghanistan in December 2001 — that my father decided to move our family from the Jaghatu District in Ghazni Province to a village in western Kabul. It was the beginning of a new journey.
