FARMINGTON, Ark. — The Farmington Lady Cardinals are headed to Hot Springs. The Lady Cards downed Batesville 76-64 on Saturday to earn a spot in the 4A state title game.
Farmington held a commanding 13-point halftime lead, but the Lady Pioneers fought back, coming within four points in the fourth quarter. Isabella Higgenbottom had 39 for Batesville, but Farmington iced the game at the free throw line in the final minutes to seal the win.
The win was extra special for Farmington, as they hosted the tournament. Now, it's off to Hot Springs for the title game, next Friday at 6PM. Farmington will play the winner of Star City vs. Pulaski Academy.

WORCESTER — In a rematch of the 2018 Division 4 Central final, the third-seeded Blackstone Valley Tech girls basketball team took on top-seeded Maynard at WPI in Worcester.
Unfortunately for the Beavers, the result was the same as the Tigers pulled away for a 52-39 victory over BVT, to claim their second sectional title in three years.
