Halifax’s Ellie Black says she was honoured to be named Canada’s flag-bearer for the closing ceremonies Sunday at the Pam American Games in Lima, Peru.
“I am super-excited to be the flag-bearer,” she said in a phone interview from Miraflores, Peru. “I’m very honoured and very proud to be able to lead Team Canada and be a part of the closing ceremonies.”
Black won five medals at the games: two gold, two silver and a bronze. She also won five in Toronto in 2015, when she had three gold, a silver and a bronze.

One of NASA’s satellites was, reportedly, able to capture a photo of an unidentified flying object. The same UFO can also be potentially bigger than the Earth in size.
The astronaut on the International Space Station told ground control that it is a ship, to which NASA replied “Copy all. We just clarified. It's with you...thank you.”
