"We could identify the educational needs, not only for our existing residents, but what are the workforce needs from our private businesses, so this is a critical component that certainly the Mayor and Rock Valley College and others have been leading on," said Cagnoni.

"It's exciting, it's a proud moment for the college, it's a proud moment for our community. There's so much positive that you're hearing people talking about the economy, but we need to make sure that the talent that we develop stays in this community, that's an investment into our future," said Jensen.

Robert De Niro Thinks Technology Like De-Aging Could Make Movies 'Cartoony' Like Marvel

The technological stuff can only go so far. It's not going to change other things. If it does to such a point it becomes something that is not what a person is, what a human is, it can be another type of entertainment -- like comic strip things, Marvel. The comic book character-type things, cartoony stuff.

As reported by Screen Daily , Robert De Niro was speaking at a BFI London Film Festival Screen Talk session when a fan asked the actor about technological advances in film. The fan was specifically curious about if and how the de-aging changed the way Robert De Niro and his fellow cast mates approached their performances or their acting styles.

Robert De Niro's view seems to be that technological advancements like de-aging are tools and aids for a film, and although they change some things, they don't ultimately alter how an actor performs. However, if the technology advances to such a point or is used in such a way that the human element of acting is minimized, negated or removed, then it becomes something else; something cartoony, like a Marvel movie.

Valley® Irrigation Advanced Technology Uses AI to Detect Crop Health and Irrigation

Valley Insights (valleyirrigation.com) is designed to move growers closer to autonomous crop management, generating greater returns while using fewer inputs and resources. Using computer vision, the service scouts to identify areas of over- or under-irrigation and related plant stress. It goes beyond typical aerial imaging, using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the visual data, detect issues and alert the grower so proper actions can be taken.

"Our initial release has been focused in the Northwest, where a late winter created a challenging season for growers," says Troy Long, Senior Director of Product Management for Valley Irrigation. "They would have been hard pressed for time to sift through stacks of aerial images provided by other services, searching for potential irrigation-related issues. Valley Insights analyzes the images and alerts growers to possible crop threats before they become big problems. It has saved our users a lot of valuable time they can now dedicate elsewhere."
