NASA is currently studying the area as part of a Hubble survey of the central regions of approximately 145 disc galaxies.
NASA wrote in a statement: “Jewels don’t shine this bright – only stars do.”
“Like gems in a jewel box, though, the stars of open cluster NGC 290 glitter in a beautiful display of brightness and colour.”

Open clusters of stars are younger, contain few stars, and contain a much higher fraction of blue stars than do globular clusters of stars.
NGC 290 lies about 200,000 light-years distant in a neighbouring galaxy dubbed the Small Cloud of Magellan (SMC).
NGC 290 and other open clusters are considered laboratories for studying how stars of different masses evolve, since all the open cluster’s stars were born at about the same time.

UAE Space Agency: The Golden age of Arab discovery returns | Science – Gulf News
Please share your personal take on the UAE sending its first astronaut to the International Space Station
It is a moment of national pride, not just for me but for the whole country. This is the first Emirati astronaut in space! Videos for NASA Hubble Space Telescope : Space 1:01 NASA 's Webb telescope to reveal Milky Way's 'hidden' center MSN!! We know that Prince Sultan Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from Saudi Arabia was the first Arab in space, but that was in 1985, before the International Space Station (ISS).
The first Emirati to be launched into space will also be the first Arab astronaut to visit the ISS. This also proves that the UAE is committed to space — we now have an astronaut programme, we already have a number of satellites in space, we have something that is tangible, something that people can see and appreciate! 1:53 NASA astronomy picture of the day: Space agency unveils 'stellar jewel box' express.co.uk!! For me therefore, this is a great moment and I am happy to be able witness this and be a part of this process.

NASA’s experimental aircraft programme has created renowned alumni such as Neil Armstrong’s X-15 and the X-17 missile plane.
NASA said: “In the high desert of California, some of the most important aircraft in aviation history have been built and flown.
“NASA’s X-59 QueSST is an experimental piloted aircraft designed to fly faster than sound without producing the annoying – if not alarming – sonic booms of previous supersonic aircraft.
“It is the latest craft to take shape at Skunk Works, a renowned Lockheed Martin division that for the past 76 years has used a unique approach to design and manufacturing that has produced the nation’s most advanced aeroplanes.”

Will China's Space Agency Send Turtles To Moon's Dark Side?
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) originally wanted to send turtles to the dark side of the Moon as part of its lunar exploration program! 2:41 NASA news: Stunning Hubble supernova video shows blue shock waves travel through space express.co.uk!! The animals would have been part of the experiments carried by the agency's Chang'e 4 mission.
Earlier this month, the CNSA accomplished a historical achievement after successfully growing cotton on the Moon . It was part of Chang'e 4's experiment of growing seeds inside a biosphere on the lunar surface! Aside from cotton, the spacecraft also carried fruit-fly eggs, yeast and Arabidopsis and potato seeds! However, only the experiment with cotton produced positive results.
However, the weight limitations of the spacecraft prevented the CNSA from proceeding with its plan of sending animals to the lunar surface.
"The weight of the Chang'e 4 probe demanded that the weight [of the experiment] can't exceed three kilograms," Xie said during an interview with IEEE Spectrum .
NASA news: Space agency reveals futuristic Moon landing spacesuits - 'Not for the meek'
To ensure the mission’s success, NASA has designed a new generation of futuristic spacesuits.
NASA said: “At first glance, NASA’s new spacesuit that will be worn on Artemis missions might look like the suits that astronauts use for spacewalks outside the International Space Station (ISS) today.
“However, 21st-century moonwalkers will be able to accomplish much more complex tasks than their predecessors, thanks to strides in technological advances that started even before the Apollo program.
“Spacesuits are not only a classic icon of human space exploration, they are also a personalised spaceship that mimics all of the protections from the harsh environment of space and the basic resources that Earth and its atmosphere provide.”
