Rubina Bernabe and Tucker Des Lauriers met in the Big Brother 26 house, and started dating soon after the show ended. When The Amazing Race 38 came calling, Rubina ended up on a team with her sister, Kristine Bernabe , while Tucker competed alongside his brother, Eric Des Lauriers .
But all good things must come to an end. Rubina and Tucker ended their relationship after TAR filming wrapped, she confirms to Gold Derby. "I'm single, guys!" she says with a chuckle.

The "Orange Team" sisters also open up about what their late mother would think of their appearance on the reality TV show, whether or they considered themselves underdogs, and why the downhill cart racing was their least favorite challenge.
Rubina : Amazing Race was always the dream, if I'm going to be honest. Everyone knows this, but I wasn't really a Big Brother watcher, but Amazing Race , yes. We grew up watching with our mom, so we had always wanted this to be something we did together. Doing it in any capacity, and especially it being a Big Brother season, we are so lucky.
Rubina : We found out recently that apparently there's not been an all-Filipino team before on the U.S. Amazing Race . So, what an honor!
Did you both feel like underdogs coming into this, especially when compared to the physically strong teams?
