Middleton and his brother Dan were disqualified in the early stages of the race for what Channel 10 described as "a breach of the code of conduct".
Amidst the alleged incident, it was Fevola who stepped in to put an end to it, according to Sassy Scott.
Speaking on his morning radio show alongside the brothers, the AFL champion said he was rattled by it, and could only imagine how the Luke and Sassy Scott felt.
"I know this is a pretty tough topic, and obviously some stuff went on earlier in the show. We've spoken about it, I know you guys can't really speak about it too much more than what happened, but I was there," Fevola told FoxFM.
"I witnessed what one particular contestant did to you boys, and said it to me, and also said it to you previously, and a few other things along the lines.
"Because I haven't really been privy to it at all, and you guys, getting the slurs that you did, the homophobic slurs that were thrown your way throughout the day, it's just not on.
