Is Luke Bryan Leaving 'American Idol' Ahead Of Season 24?

Luke Bryan has been a staple of American Idol for years, offering wisdom, encouragement, and the occasional good-natured ribbing to hopeful contestants.

But with Season 23 now in the rearview and no word yet on when Season 24 will hit screens, fans are asking the big question: will Bryan be back at the judges' table?

The country star, whose career took off in the early 2000s and has since seen him become one of the world's top-selling music artists, joined American Idol in 2018.

Since then, he's sat alongside big names like Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and, most recently, Carrie Underwood. Season 23 wrapped up in May, but the air is thick with speculation over possible changes before the next season begins.

In a recent interview with Taste of Country, Bryan admitted even he doesn't have a firm answer on his return. "Idol is kind of a year-by-year, 'Do we do it or not?' We'll see what happens," he said. His uncertainty, however, doesn't overshadow the affection he clearly has for the show, which he describes with genuine enthusiasm.

When asked if he thought she'd be back, Bryan didn't hesitate to share his optimism. "My prediction would be highly favorable," he said, adding, "I know she had a great time in the role."

Looking back on their time together, Bryan spoke warmly about the team dynamic. "Last year was really, really incredible with Carrie and Lionel and Ryan. The main thing is just, have fun with American Idol and have fun with the [contestants]," he reflected.

At the moment, ABC hasn't announced a premiere date for American Idol Season 24. Industry watchers believe the network will likely wait until the judging panel is finalized before making any official statements.
