Kevin O'Leary , known as "Mr. Wonderful" on Shark Tank, made a shocking and controversial leap to the big screen in A24's Marty Supreme . Known for his blunt, intimidating business advice and multiple reality TV appearances, this marks O'Leary's first acting role in a feature film. The casting choice has already drawn attention, given his past public controversies.
O'Leary's name appears on the fifth text card in the trailer , right after Safdie, Chalamet, Paltrow, and A'zion. Being placed so high in the credits suggests that he has a major role in the story and will also be a big part of the film's marketing. The trailer shows him in several tense scenes with Timothée Chalamet arguing about Marty's career and future success . On Shark Tank , O'Leary is known for being tough and critical of young entrepreneurs, and his character in the film seems to treat Marty in a similar way.
Marty Supreme will be released in theaters on December 25. Shark Tank is available to stream on Hulu.
