For many fans, "The Golden Bachelor" is proof that true love can find you regardless of age, so they didn't appreciate the reality show's next star dissing women over 60.
Former NFL linebacker Mel Owens , 66, said that he's only interested in women who are "45 to 60" years of age during an appearance on " MGoBlue Podcasts With Jon Jansen " earlier this month.
Owens, who was announced as the next "Golden Bachelor" in April, noted that a producer for the show assured him that the women on his upcoming season are "going to be hot" regardless of their ages. He also recalled the producer telling him not to "use the word 'cut'" to refer to eliminating contestants.
