Former ⁘ The Bachelor ⁘ star Sean Lowe has opened up about the horrific moment he was attacked by his family's rescue dog, Moose , after a fire alarm inside their home went off and ⁘triggered⁘ the pup.
Lowe, 41, who tied the knot with the Season 17 ⁘Bachelor⁘ winner, Catherine Giudici , in 2004, laid bare the details about the gruesome attack in a social media video , detailing how his beloved boxer dog ⁘ripped into his flesh⁘ and left a ⁘pool of blood⁘ inside their $5 million Dallas home.
According to Lowe, who described the incident as ⁘traumatic⁘ for his family, he was hosting a barbecue for his friends when smoke from the grill drifted inside the home, which caused the smoke alarms to go off.
⁘He was biting my finger really aggressively, which is something that he does not do,⁘ Lowe recalled. ⁘So I gave him a 'No, Moose.'⁘
Moose then began biting his feet, something that Lowe said is not uncommon among herding dogs, who use this behavior to round up sheep or cattle.
⁘I just see blood squirting, probably a couple of feet. And so my first thought is, 'I think that dog may have nicked an artery,'" he added.
