How Many Weeks Does The Show Last And When Is The Finale?

Cue the small talk, gravity-defying bikinis and fire pit chats because Love Island is about to return to our screens for the summer .

The ITV2 show, which follows a group of singletons competing to get the public's vote for favourite couple and win the £50,000 prize, will be hosted again by presenter Maya Jama , who has been fronting the show since she took over from Laura Whitmore in 2022.

Though January saw the first all-star season , bringing back memorable contestants from the past for a second (or third) shot at finding love , this summer will see a group of new faces entering the Mallorcan villa.

The show will return on Monday 3 June at 9pm as part of a multi-channel takeover on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Episodes thereafter will continue on ITV2 and ITVX.

Typically, the series lasts eight weeks. But ITV are yet to confirm the duration of this year's series.

While ITV haven't confirmed the final it's expected to be at the end of July, roughly eight weeks after the show kicks off. Last year, for example, the show crowned winners Sammy Root and Jess Harding in the final on 31st July.

The 12 new contestants for this series have been revealed, ranging from self-described Welsh "pocket rockets" to Scouse queens. They include Harriet Blackmore, 24, Sean Stone, 24, Ayo Odukoya, 25 and Patsy Field, 29, who is keen to raise awareness for Erb's palsy, a condition which affects the nerves in her arm.

‘Golden Bachelor' Contestant Defends Gerry Turner's Shocking Divorce From Theresa Nist | Fox...

" The Golden Bachelor " star Gerry Turner is receiving support from one of the show's contestants after facing backlash about his divorce from Theresa Nist.

During an appearance on SiriusXM's "The Jess Cagle Show" this week, Susan Noles revealed the reason behind Turner's decision to file for divorce from his wife of three months.

"I've gotta support this man a little bit," Noles said. "I feel like he got the wrong end of it. Theresa decided not to move and not to quit her job," she continued. "He got frustrated. Who can blame him? I mean, I would've never said I would move to that place wherever that is in the middle of nowhere."

"I think they got caught up in the moment," Noles said. "We watched them fall in love. They bonded that first night, on that date. It was real."

The couple married in January of this year in a televised ceremony, after Turner proposed in the season finale of the ABC reality dating series.

Turner filed for divorce in his hometown of Petersburg, Indiana, on April 12, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to Us Weekly. His filing came several hours after the couple's announcement on "Good Morning America."

GRAMMY Winner Is Desperate For Katy Perry's Job On ‘American Idol': “Please Pick Me, Choose Me, Love Me” - American...

Moments after American Idol viewers crowned Abi Carter as their season 22 winner, online chatter turned to judge Katy Perry's replacement. The ⁘Roar⁘ singer announced in February that her seventh season would also be her last (for now.) Now that Perry has wrapped up her final season, viewers are more curious than ever about her replacement. And it seems as though Meghan Trainor is waiting patiently for Idol's call.

Meghan Trainor dropped by the American Idol set during season 22, both to mentor the Top 12 contestants and perform two of her songs. However, the ⁘All About That Bass⁘ singer wants more airtime on Idol— and she's not too proud to beg.

The GRAMMY winner continued with her sales pitch: ⁘Please. I've been going everywhere, being like, 'Hi, American Idol. Please. Choose me to be a coach … or judge. I will be the best. I will give my whole heart and soul. I promise. Please pick me, choose me, love me. I will do everything."

Trainor revealed that her publicist wanted her to audition for The Voice while she was working behind the scenes as a songwriter. However, nerves prevented her from taking the plunge. Now a seasoned professional, the ⁘Lips Are Movin⁘ singer wants to help guide industry newcomers.

"I care so much about new artists, too, especially shows like that, because I was too afraid to ever audition for that," Trainor said. "So I try to remind them, no matter what level they're at — if you're on this show and you auditioned, you win, for being brave enough."

American Idol has not made any official announcements regarding Perry's replacement. However, both judge Luke Bryan and host Ryan Seacrest have publicly given Trainor their stamp of approval.

⁘I think Meghan's always been real fun. You know, that's kinda been her brand, to have fun,⁘ Luke Bryan told Entertainment Tonight . ⁘[She's] real witty, so certainly.⁘

Additionally, Seacrest called the ⁘To the Moon⁘ singer ⁘a super talent⁘ with ⁘a great sense of humor.⁘ The longtime host added, ⁘She's fun and she's spontaneous.⁘

Columbia's Admiral Radio Releasing New Music, Planning Tour | Concert And Music News...

Columbia folk duo Admiral Radio has been steadily releasing new music for the past several years, but with a spate of songwriting competition wins under its belt and a backlog of new music, the duo is poised to reach new heights.

Let us help you find something to do around town. Receive a breakdown of the week's best concerts, shows and other happenings to your inbox from Free Times!

COLUMBIA — Like every other artist in the world, Admiral Radio found its plans dashed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Created in the vein of folk duos like The Civil Wars, Watchhouse and Chatham Rabbits, the husband-and-wife team of Rebecca Smith and Coty Hoover were just months away from releasing their debut album when the pandemic struck, dashing their touring and promotion plans and throwing their lives into temporary disarray.

But over the last few years, the duo has taken on renewed focus and found some success through a steady stream of singles and videos (which has included placement on prominent Spotify editorial playlists like "Newgrass" and "Bluegrass Covers"), national songwriting competitions and strategic touring that has them poised to make the most of their increasingly formidable songwriting and performing chops.

The promise of the group comes into sharp relief on its latest single, "Love You Somehow." The group has an elegantly shot music video for the new tune directed by Daniel Machado (The Restoration) and featuring longtime local musician Dave Holder, but it's the lyricism itself that lands the deepest punch.

Whether it's a night of girly-pop music with Chappell Roan and a cruise down memory lane with The Steve Miller Band, there's a concert for every type of music lover in Columbia next month. Read more Concert roundup: What shows are coming to Columbia in June?

Strictly Curse In Full Force As Bosses Face 'Crisis' With Show's Future In Jeopardy

The professional dancer, 33, is currently embroiled in a dispute with at least three of his previous dance partners who have raised concerns about his behaviour. Giovanni, however, refutes any allegations of misconduct.

Last year, Giovanni was paired with Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington, 52, who withdrew in the fifth week of the competition. Since leaving, Amanda has expressed that she felt "broken and in tears", claiming to have experienced "mild Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" following her stint with Giovanni.

Following the pairing, Strictly is facing the most severe crisis in its 20-year history as lawyers scrutinise Giovanni's alleged behaviour in the training room, reports the Mirror .

The drama surrounding Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice has escalated as several ex-partners approached the prestigious Carter Ruck law firm with their grievances. In a countermove, Giovanni has engaged Schillings, a top-notch legal team, to defend his position. Both parties are reportedly gathering evidence to bolster their respective cases.

Last week, Giovanni addressed the accusations, stating: "I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name."

It was also reported this week that Giovanni requested all of his training sessions with Amanda be recorded while they rehearsed for the show, as he was concerned over her behaviour.

A source claimed to the Mail on Sunday : "Gio found the situation [with Amanda] very unsettling, so he asked that all sessions were recorded. It was totally unprecedented, but Gio started to see things in Amanda's behaviour and wanted to ensure he was protected. What a relief he did."

Dr Michael Mosley Reveals Simple Exercise That Could Slow Ageing: Discover The Benefits Of Yoga | Mirror Online...

We're all on the hunt for ways to slow down the ageing process, whether it's through exercise, diet or over-the-counter products.

But one doctor believes he may have stumbled upon a crucial tool in the battle to stay healthy as we get older - and it's been around for millennia. Dr Michael Mosley has delved into research suggesting that yoga not only boosts strength and flexibility but also enhances mood and reduces stress and anxiety - and it could even 'delay or slow down the rate of cellular ageing'.

As part of his Just One Thing podcast on the BBC , Dr Mosley explored the history and health benefits of yoga. Yoga has been practised for at least 5000 years, but it only gained global popularity in the 19th century when photographs allowed the various movements and poses to be easily shared worldwide. While there are many different types of yoga, five well-known variants stand out - Vinyasa, Astanga, Hatha, Iyengar, and Hot Yoga, reports Wales Online .

A German study in 2018 organised three groups of people who, for 10 weeks, either practiced yoga, participated in sports, or did nothing. Brain scans found a significant increase in the grey matter density of the hippocampus, the part of the brain associated with learning and memory.

Dr Mosley added: ⁘These effects, along with lower levels of inflammatory markers, are thought to be the main reasons behind yoga's impact on anxiety and depression. Yoga might also boost our mitochondrial function. Mitochondria are tiny power units that live inside our cells and provide us with energy. The better they are working, the better you function.⁘

Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary Wants To Crowdfund Buying TikTok

The "Shark Tank" investor said on Tuesday that he set up a crowdfunding website to gauge interest in collectively buying the social media platform. The site allows anyone to "reserve" spots to become investors in the potential US version of TikTok. It's not accepting any payments yet, and reservations are only a way to indicate interest.

If the crowdfunding campaign kicks off, it would be subject to US rules that limit investors to people who earn over $200,000 or have specific finance qualifications.

The announcement follows a decision by US lawmakers last month to ban Chinese-owned TikTok from US app stores unless it is sold in less than a year. TikTok's parent company ByteDance, sued the federal government over the ban earlier this month. TikTok has already said it has no plans to sell the platform.

The new website, however, did not share details of how much money he plans to raise or whether his project is already in talks with TikTok.

Representatives for O'Leary did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

Pregnant Jenna Dewan Shows Bare Bump As She Strips Down In Tiny Bikini

On Monday, May 27, the actress, who is currently pregnant with her third baby, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram as she celebrated the warmer weather. In one photo, Dewan, 43, wore a tiny red bikini and posed from the side, showing off her baby bump.

Earlier this month, Dewan shared an update on her pregnancy, revealing that her due date was approaching .

The expectant mom of two shared a naked snap of herself posing in front of a floor-to-ceiling window on Instagram. "One more month ⁘," her caption read as she looked out at the view through the glass.

In April, Dewan opened up to PEOPLE about how her third pregnancy was a little bit different than her previous two.

⁘Third pregnancy while chasing two other kids around definitely makes you a little more tired," she said. "I find crawling into bed at 9 p.m. is definitely different this pregnancy. But overall, everything's been going well. And it's been wonderful. But I'm without a doubt a little bit more tired."

⁘When I was a kid, I always had this vision — it was so specific. It was the Christmas tree around Christmas, and just kids and family and just chaos. Happy chaos all around,⁘ she recalled. ⁘And I realized the other day, I was like, oh, in my own way, I am creating [that]. So that's exciting for me.⁘

That same month, Dewan shared an adorable video on her Instagram Stories as she lay in bed with her dog. In the sweet clip, the expectant mom of two captured her baby kicking her stomach.

China's 'Kim Kardashian' Banned In Crackdown On Online Influencers Flaunting Their...

An influencer dubbed China's Kim Kardashian has been banned in a purge of Chinese social media celebrities who have been flaunting their wealth.

Wang Hongquanxing, 30, a jewellery dealer, who once boasted that he never left home wearing clothes and accessories worth less than $1.4 million (£1.098 million), is the latest casualty of the Communist Party 's crackdown on public displays of wealth and ostentation.

Mr Wang, like several other rich online influencers, attracted millions of followers by bragging about his luxury possessions and daily extravagance – a lifestyle that has now been denounced by state media as a "toxic influence".

This month, dozens of accounts were abruptly banned from every major Chinese social media platform , including Douyin, Weibo and Xiaohongshu. Mr Wang's own profiles have now been declared inaccessible under "violation of self-discipline" rules.

The sudden crackdown marked a stunning public fall from grace for Mr Wang, who had 4.4 million followers on Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok, and who was often seen dripping with exquisite jade, pink diamonds and pearls the size of pigeon eggs, reported Sixth Tone.

Mr Wang also previously told Chinese media outlet Phoenix News that he owned seven properties in a high-end Beijing residential compound worth $110 million.

The latest crackdown comes during a tough economic period of slow growth, high youth unemployment and a troubled property market, prompting speculation that authorities may be trying to censor displays of inequality.

In recent years, the regime has sought to squeeze freedom of expression on the internet and reign in personalities deemed to be too influential on public opinion or promoting messages that run counter to the government's narrative.

A With The March Forward Song Contest Promotion Winner, SongBird The Goddess - American...

⁘Dollar and A Dream"
Written by Dayseana McNeal (aka SongBird The Goddess)
Interview by American Songwriter

I decided to enter this contest for the sole purpose of proving to myself that I have the strong ability to produce classic and empowering music. I felt that this would be a great challenge to my skills. Coming from Delaware, we don't have many avenues or a market of music here but loads of talent. I was beyond excited to share this song with American Songwriter.

I definitely have so much in store this year as far as new music. I am still promoting and pushing my sophomore album with my label FiftyShots, titled Goddess Flow , that I dropped in November of last year. It has been a success and "Dollar and a Dream" is a fan FAVORITE! This spring/summer I plan to debut the more fun side of my artistry with some upbeat songs and party vibes, but still with a conscious flow. I'm excited to see how my fanbase takes to this for sure!

Strictly Come Dancing Bosses 'Struggling To Sign Up Females' For Show After Giovanni Pernice Row - Mirror...

The professional dancer, 33, is locked in a legal battle with at least three of his former dance partners who have complained about his conduct . The Italian star denies any wrongdoing.

But show insiders said the row has had a knock-on effect ahead of this year's series. One said: "Strictly bosses have been left reeling by the backlash against Giovanni. One problem it has caused is that the booking team are struggling to recruit female celebrities for 2024 .

Last year Giovanni was partnered with Sherlock star Amanda Abbington, 52, who quit in the fifth week of the contest. Strictly is facing the worst crisis in its 20-year history as lawyers rake over Giovanni's alleged behaviour in the training room.

It was triggered when a number of his former partners took their complaints to top legal firm Carter Ruck. It sparked the BBC – who had previously backed Giovanni – to launch their own investigation. Meanwhile the under-fire dancer hired his own lawyers from Schillings to fight back. Both sides are now understood to be compiling evidence to support their cases.

Responding to the claims last week Giovanni said: "I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name."

But one of Giovanni Pernice's former dance partners has broken rank and made a public show of support for the troubled star. Debbie McGee took to Instagram to show fans that her allegiance has not been rocked by the recent allegations.

Debbie, who was partnered with Giovanni in 2017, wrote: ⁘On it⁘ alongside a supportive heart emoji. Its not the first time Debbie has reached out to the dancer this year. When allegations first emerged of a fallout between Giovanni and his 2023 dance partner Amanda Abbington, Debbie made it clear who's side she was on.

Millions See Performance Of 'Goodness Of God' On 'American Idol'

More than 20 million people have now seen a duet performance of a popular gospel song that aired on national television on Pentecost Sunday.

The "American Idol" season 22 finale, which aired on ABC Sunday, featured a duet performance by gospel singer CeCe Winans and former contestant Roman Collins, who made it into the Top 12 in this year's installment of the reality TV singing competition.

The duo performed "Goodness of God" before the audience gathered at the live finale event in Hollywood, California, which coincided with Pentecost Sunday. According to  Nielsen Media Research , 5.64 million people tuned into the three-hour show.

Collins took to  Instagram  Tuesday to express gratitude that he "got to minister with CeCe Winans in front of America" and Fanatasia on Pentecost Sunday.

His comment reflects that Fantasia, the winner of "American Idol" season 3, was seated in the audience during the performance. The camera panned over to Fantasia several times during the duet.

Collins concluded that "God really loves me," adding, "it's always a pleasure and full circle moment working with friends and family."

Is It Better To Measure Exercise In Minutes Or Steps?

But should we count the steps or the time we spend when it comes to chasing exercise goals? Should we count at all?

They say it doesn't matter which method a person chooses, only that they choose a method aligned with their personal preferences.

In the new study published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine, the researchers said physical activity reduces the risk of acquiring chronic illness and infection as well as promoting longevity.

Current U.S. guidelines , which haven't been updated since 2018 (and scheduled to be updated in 2028), say adults should engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity (like brisk walking) or 75 minutes of vigorous activity (like jogging) per week.

The authors pointed out most of the existing evidence regarding health benefits of exercise came from studies in which participants self-reported physical activity. Few data points existed regarding the relationship between health and steps.

In the age of smart watches, step counts are now a popular metric among fitness tracking platforms.

In their study, the researchers searched for an answer regarding how time-based goals stack up against step-based ones?

"We recognized that existing physical activity guidelines focus primarily on activity duration and intensity but lack step-based recommendations," said Dr Rikuta Hamaya, the lead study author and a researcher in the Division of Preventive Medicine at BWH, in a statement. "With more people using smart watches to measure their steps and overall health, we saw the importance of ascertaining how step-based measurements compare to time-based targets in their association with health outcomes – is one better than the other?"

We Must Defend The Bust | The New Yorker

What washes into the shallows of present-day pop culture emanates from a deeper societal dissonance regarding breasts. The prurient and the puritanical share custody, leaving breasts bound by a web of meanings that conspire to give a lousy time to the people who have them. This broad truth, that most American women "are dissatisfied with, indifferent to, or ambivalent about their breasts," is the premise of Sarah Thornton's "Tits Up: What Sex Workers, Milk Bankers, Plastic Surgeons, Bra Designers, ⁘ Witches Tell Us About Breasts," a new book that wants to set these organs free with the goal of gaining a greater understanding of and appreciation for the women to which they are attached. The breast man was not consulted.

How Duke Ellington Took Jazz From The Back Yard To Buckingham Palace

Because Duke likes peace and repose, he tries to avoid the endless controversies that go on in the world of jazz. The followers of jazz cannot even agree on the fundamental point of what it is. To keep out of this dispute in particular, Duke frequently says, when people try to pin him down, "I don't write jazz. I write Negro folk music." There are those who insist that the only "righteous jazz," as they call it, is performed by bands of no more than six or seven men whose music is as spontaneous, unpremeditated, and unrehearsed as that of Shelley's skylark. Yet the very aficionados who insist that all real jazz is improvised and that all the solos must be impromptu often claim that Duke's artistry is the genuine, blown-in-the-bottle stuff, brushing aside his own statement that almost all the music his seventeen-piece band plays has been scored. Partly because of this bickering, Ellington always feels that he has found sanctuary when he boards a train. He says that then peace descends upon him and that the train's metallic rhythm soothes him. He likes to hear the whistle up ahead, particularly at night, when it screeches through the blackness as the train gathers speed. "Specially in the South," he says. "There the firemen play blues on the engine whistle—big, smeary things like a goddam woman singing in the night." He likes, too, to sit next to the window, his chin in his hand, and, in a trancelike state, to stare for hours at the telephone poles flashing by and at the pattern of the curving wires as they alternately drop and ascend. Even at night, particularly if his train is passing through certain sections of Ohio or Indiana, he will remain at the window (shifting to the smoker if the berths are made up), for he likes the flames of the steel furnaces. "I think of music sometimes in terms of color," he says, "and I like to see the flames licking yellow in the dark and then pulsing down to a kind of red glow." Duke has a theory that such sights stimulate composition. "The memory of things gone is important to a jazz musician," he says. "Things like the old folks singing in the moonlight in the back yard on a hot night, or something someone said long ago. I remember I once wrote a sixty-four-bar piece about a memory of when I was a little boy in bed and heard a man whistling on the street outside, his footsteps echoing away. Things like these may be more important to a musician than technique."

The First Golden Bachelorette Doesn't See Gerry Turner ⁘ Theresa Nist's Divorce As A Failure For This Insightful...

When The Golden Bachelor 's Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist decided to end their marriage just three months in, skepticism arose about the future of The Golden Bachelorette. After all, many contestants on these shows are senior citizens with deeply rooted lives in their respective hometowns — reportedly one of the reasons behind Turner and Nist's split . But Joan Vassos, recently announced as the first Golden Bachelorette, offers a refreshing perspective on this chapter.

Vassos, who competed for Turner's heart in his season, watched their love story unfold up close. "I loved watching their journey. I saw them fall in love. I believed just, like – they did that. They were like the perfect couple," she shared with CNN . "I applaud that they jumped into this process with both feet and they were ready to find love and they knew what true love was. They both had it in their previous lives. So, I applaud them for doing that."

For Vassos, their decision to part ways is neither a failure nor a cautionary tale but a brave acknowledgment of their reality. "I also applaud them when they discovered it wasn't perfect. That they called it quits and it's not the end of the world, and we have to let them live their journey and follow their hearts and it wasn't right for them," she emphasized.

After travelling to eight countries, 14 cities, and nearly 12,000 miles, the latest season of "The Amazing Race" culminated in a thrilling finale in Philadelphia. The journey concluded in a coronation for Ricky Rotandi and Cesar Aldrete as they won the coveted million-dollar prize.

Wednesday's finale showcased the determination of the remaining three teams, among them former NFL player Rod Gardner and his wife, Leticia, who had their sights set on victory from the outset.

Despite securing a first-place finish in the penultimate leg, the Gardner duo faced challenges in the final stretch, ultimately falling short of the championship.

The final leg commenced at the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art, where teams embarked on a series of challenges across the city's landmarks. At Lincoln Financial Stadium, home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, one player from each team transformed into a mascot and undertook a rigorous series of drills. Although the Gardners emerged from this task in second place, subsequent challenges tested their mettle.

Memorization proved to be a pivotal obstacle as teams were tasked with reciting the preamble of the United States Declaration of Independence. Rod Gardner encountered difficulties with his sections, allowing Rotandi and Aldrete to extend their lead. Even Villa and Bilek, who faced navigation hurdles, managed to close the gap after a detour into New Jersey.

The final challenge, assembling a 3D Liberty Bell puzzle at the Arch Street Friends Meeting House, further solidified Rotandi and Aldrete's lead. Their proficiency propelled them toward victory as they crossed the finish line, with host Keoghan announcing their triumph to an exhilarated audience.

The Scrubbie Didn't Get A Shark Tank Deal — What Happened To The Company After The Show

One such product that made its way to the Shark Tank stage was The Scrubbie, an inventive cleaning tool designed by Jeff Dakin, Tyler Kessler, and Matt Hosey. With a vision to enhance everyday cleaning tasks, the team hoped to secure an investment to propel their product into the market. Despite their evident passion, they didn't deliver the best Shark Tank pitch , and the outcome on the show took an unexpected turn. It set the stage for an intriguing post- Shark Tank journey, demonstrating that sometimes, the real victory lies beyond the show's confines.

Peter Jones and Mark Cuban made a very expensive deal with Collars & Co. on Shark Tank in 2022, but how successful is the company today?

Scrub Daddy was a huge Shark Tank success , having the highest revenue of any product on the show as of 2019 (via Forbes ).

The Scrubbie team struggled to provide convincing sales data , revealing only $13,000 in revenue, which did not instill confidence. This lack of clarity, coupled with the perceived similarities to existing products, resulted in all the Sharks passing on the investment opportunity. Despite their disappointment, the team remained hopeful and promised to continue improving their product and business strategy.

The LUCY Drawing Tool was Les Cookson's second time on Shark Tank, but how successful was the tool, and where does the company stand today?

Despite not securing a deal, The Scrubbie experienced the so-called ⁘Shark Tank Effect⁘ ⁘ a surge in public interest and website traffic following their episode's airing. Their website received an influx of 70,000 visitors (via YouTube ), leading to a significant increase in sales. The exposure allowed the team to reach a broader audience and build a customer base that appreciated the innovative cleaning tool.

Kim Kardashian's 2024 Met Gala Shoes Defy Gravity In Never-Before-Seen Photo

The 43-year-old just shared never-before-seen photos as she prepped for the Monday May 6 event as well as a peek behind the process of creating her controversial look .

One particularly shocking photo in the carousel shows a close-up of the sky-high platform shoes that she wore for the evening. The clear lucite shoes are missing a heel, so Kardashian had to balance on her toes in order to wear them.

The reality star's sister, Khloé, commented on the dramatic shoe choice saying, ⁘That invisible heel is wild! How did you manage? I definitely would have fallen.⁘

Kardashian also shared snaps of various fittings. On multiple occasions, she needed help balancing while teetering on the gravity-defying shoes.

In a behind-the-scenes video of her fitting for Vogue , Kardashian says that she chose the heelless shoes to avoid tripping on her dress's train.

⁘To wear these, you're on your tiptoes and you're balancing the whole time flexing your calf muscles," she explains, comparing the movement to that of a ballerina. "I think we really need the height on this look, so we gotta do what we gotta do," she adds.

The star's footwear is just one jaw-dropping detail of Kardashian's polarizing look. She SKIMS founder shocked fans when she appeared at the Gala in a custom Margiela by John Galliano corset that gave her a dramatically cinched waist.

In her Vogue video, Kardashian is seen breathing through her mouth while being laced into the corset, which, according to the label , was rewoven with antique silver brocade. "It's an art form, but I got it," she says.

Despite any discomfort, Kardashian says she loved the corset because it made her boobs and waist look "so good."

Eurovision' Does Better Than Any Other American Reality Show

Eurovision Song Contest 2024 crowned its winner! With 591 points, Switzerland won it all with their song ⁘The Code⁘ by Nemo. The 24-year-old artist from the bilingual town of Biel/Bienne is non-binary and proved that their artistry and vocal prowess was the magic formula that broke the code. This year's contest has been bogged down by outside drama that has infiltrated into the competition, but within the competition itself, it has been filled with acceptance and visibility with the crop of artists that range the spectrum of identity. It's fitting that, with a mission of peace set out by the artists, the winner is the epitome of the message. Eurovision 's theme was ⁘United by Music.⁘ The artists did more than that. They used their platform on the world's biggest musical stage to unite and celebrate all people. As ABBA says, ⁘Thank you for the music.⁘

Since Eurovision is, for the most part, a mostly transparent event, fans are able to watch the dress rehearsals. They get to see the evolution of each act. Between the press conferences and the fabulous turquoise carpet , they are a way to allow the artists to connect with their fans all while giving them global celebrity status. And just like sports, the odds makers provide their predictions on the placements of the night after each and every moment that leads up to the semi-finals and grand final. For many, this is their Super Bowl . All eyes are glued to every story, every social media post, every rumor that seeps out of the arena. And when any drama unfolds, you can bet your bottom dollar that the Eurovision superfans will spill the tea and solve the mysteries before anyone else! Name a reality show that has that hold over average people. I'll wait.

Going into the week, it seemed as if it would be a battle between two countries: Croatia and Switzlerland. The voting public championed Croatia and their artist Baby Lasagna . Since entering the Eurovision scene, ⁘Rim Tim Tagi Dim⁘ had become one of the nonsensical smash hits with its addictive beat, its humorous lyrics about economic emigration, and the razzle-dazzle of Baby Lasagna himself. When it came to the 37 juries, they championed Switzerland's Nemo and their song ⁘The Code.⁘ Blending a unique operatic undertone, pop beats, and a rapid-fire rap section, ⁘The Code⁘ was not only special for its originality but for being an autobiographical song. Despite Croatia receiving the most televotes, receiving 12 points from 22 nations' juries handed Nemo and Switzerland the victory.

8 Exercise And Diet Routine Will Help Manage Diabetes

Interval training involves alternating between high-intensity exercise and periods of rest or low-intensity exercise. This type of workout has been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar levels more effectively than continuous moderate-intensity exercise.

Engaging in aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling can help lower blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. Aim for at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise most days of the week.

Adding strength training exercises into your routine can also be beneficial for managing diabetes. Activities such as weightlifting or using resistance bands help build muscle mass, which can improve blood sugar control.

Portland's Bikini Barista Revolution

While every bikini barista stand has its own vibe, the idea is mostly the same everywhere: Car pulls up, customer engages in flirty banter, pays double the usual latte prices, tips $5 to $20 depending on the quality of the banter, the customer's mood, and how much they like today's outfit, and goes on their way. If it's a "show stand" like Beanies Bikini Barista, you can order a "naughty" coffee — code for coffee and a show. Beanies charges $20 for the barista to flash their upper half and $40 to flash everything. Prices vary from show stand to show stand, and some offer a brief nude dance and a picture or video for higher price tiers.

"Not every stand does it, but a lot of them do because that's where the money is made," says Saturn.

The inventor of the first-ever bikini barista stand is up for debate , but there is no doubt that the phenomenon was born in the late 1990s and early aughts within the Pacific Northwest , despite the region's noted lack of swimsuit-appropriate weather. While the literal climate may not seem conducive to scantily clad servers, the cultural climate has fostered their success: Outlets like Thrillist have attributed the growth of bikini baristas to the pro-kink, strip club-saturated scenes of Portland and Seattle. Like any popular consumer trend, the realm of bikini baristas quickly developed as a subculture, with code words for special services — the aforementioned "naughty," aka "filthy" coffees, for example — and different characteristics in different cities.

You'll find more bikini baristas in Washington, where a population of 150-plus stands makes it the most dense region anywhere. But you'll see more of the actual baristas in Portland, where lenient public nudity laws make fertile ground for the clothing-sparse coffee kiosk. Local allowances like those made for the nude bike rides and clothing-optional beaches mean baristas can wear much less than bikinis, and, depending on the stand and the code word, visitors may encounter full-on nudity. The permitting process for these stands is the same as for any other food cart in Portland.

‘The Bachelor' Promises True Love. So Why Does It Rarely Work Out?

The season premiere of any installment in "The Bachelor" franchise always starts the same: with the host talking directly to camera about the lead's almost-certain path to finding lasting love. Unlike other popular reality dating shows, the franchise markets itself as a genuine chance to find love without any other incentives like cash prizes.

But it's actually not all that probable: Of the 40 combined seasons of "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," only eight couples have stayed together — not great betting odds.

That breakup felt like the last straw in believing this franchise could foster lasting love, so to look into why "The Bachelor" rarely makes good on its premise, we spoke to the former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams, as well as the former contestants Tyler Cameron and Melissa Rycroft about the flaws that doom the reality franchises' lovebirds.

On "The Bachelor" circumstances are purposely anti-real-world dating scenarios, the better to "focus" on finding real love. The lead dates 25 or more people at once while the contestants have their sights set on that one person. Prospective love interests don't have access to any outside distractions like cellphones, books or television.

"When you're in that 'Bachelor' bubble, all you do is focus on and be brainwashed toward that person," Tyler Cameron, the runner-up on Hannah Brown's "Bachelorette" season, said.

Since the show is marketed as an opportunity to find love and have the lead establish separate connections with different contestants, Melissa Rycroft, from Season 13, said the competitive feel among the contestants is orchestrated by producers and not necessarily inherent to the environment.

Contestants are isolated and singularly focused on gaining the affections of one target. The competition makes it hard for contestants to know if they even like the lead. Rycroft got engaged to the bachelor Jason Mesnick at the end of his season before he broke it off to instead be with the season's runner-up.

How To Watch The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Finals

That's a big question, but it's essentially a contest where representatives of European nations (along with a handful of others) each submit a representative to battle it out in an international pop music competition. Each nation's entrant is often chosen through a local contest in that country — think of it as a bit like "American Idol," but with all original songs.

The most notable past winner is likely Abba, though a number of the victors have had crossover success around the world. The competition began in the 1950s and has been held each year since. You can find out more about the competition and its history in this story explaining it all from TheWrap's Jeremy Fuster .

To help take us through this year's contest, we brought in the hosts of the "Eurovangelists" podcast, comedy writers and performers Jeremy Bent, Oscar Montoya and Dimitry Pompée. The show features relatively new fan Jeremy, longtime fan and expert Dimitry and the passionate Oscar discussing and disagreeing about Eurovision. "What gave me a lot of confidence in the idea [of the podcast] is that Oscar and I have seen everything, but there are times when we do not get along," Pompée said. "Because we can't agree on what a good song is — because he's wrong."

After two rounds of semifinals earlier this week, the nations who've made it through compete Saturday, May 11 at 9 p.m. Central European Time. That's 3 p.m. Eastern, 12 p.m. Pacific here in the States.

You can watch the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 finals on Peacock, its current home after airing in the past on Bravo. You can also watch the semifinals from earlier this week, archived on the NBCUniversal streaming service.

In many nations outside of the U.S., you can stream the finals on YouTube, but the service is geoblocked in countries with exclusive streaming contracts — including Australia, Greece, Lithuania, the United Kingdom and the U.S.

"Eurovangelists" cohost Jeremy Bent told us how he first became a Eurovision fan, with cohost Dimitry inviting him over to watch the finals. "I was like, I guess so. How long is that? And he's like, four hours long ," Bent said, laughing. "There were so many points of failure in this relationship. The fact that we didn't hit any of them was a miracle."

Travis Kelce Spotted Dancing In Star-studded Group At Taylor Swift's Paris Show

The "City of Love" was the latest sighting of Travis Kelce at a Taylor Swift concert, and he had some A-list celebrities dancing alongside him to his significant other's chart-topping hits.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end was seen at Paris La Défense Arena in Paris where Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid were next to him to enjoy Swift's 87th Eras Tour show.

Videos have circulated on social media of Kelce dancing to Swift songs, including "… Ready for It?" "Lover" and the classic "You Belong with Me."

It's significant that Kelce has been spotted at this show as he hasn't been seen since she went back on tour. Swift has been in Paris for three nights prior to this fourth and final show, where Kelce was spotted.

Of course, this isn't the first time Kelce has reciprocated the love and support Swift showed during the Chiefs' Super Bowl-winning season last year. During the Chiefs' bye week, Kelce was seen in Buenos Aires for one of Swift's Eras Tour dates.

They will clearly go the extra mile to support each other; Swift famously flew from Japan to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl after a tour date across the Pacific.

And fans, whether it was of Kelce first or Swift, have fallen in love with the couple throughout the process as they continue to be one of the world's power couples.

While love isn't something to rush, many are clamoring to know if Kelce has any thoughts of proposing to Swift to take their relationship to the next level.
