According to Dr. Marisa Garshick , a board-certified dermatologist at MDCS Dermatology , you can tell your skin is sensitive if it's reactive (gets irritated easily) and prone to redness, burning, itching or flaking. "People with sensitive skin more commonly tend to be afflicted by skin conditions like eczema, dry skin, rosacea, as well as asthma and allergies," adds Dr. Pooja Rambhia , a board-certified dermatologist based in New York City.
