During a three-day state visit by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, Charles made Jennie Kim, Jisoo Kim and Lalisa Manoban honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of the group's role as COP26 Advocates for the COP26 Summit in Glasgow 2021.

Ahead of their investiture in Buckingham Palace's 1844 room today, which coincides with the South Korean president's state visit to the UK, the band of the Coldstream Guards played the Blackpink hit Ddu-Du, Ddu-Du during the Changing of the Guards at the Palace.
Footage of the performance was shared on the official Royal Family social media accounts, with the caption: "On Wednesdays, we play @BLACKPINK" along with a black and pink heart emoji.

As ambassadors for the annual COP climate change summit, BLACKPINK has also been known to support the UN's sustainable development goals.
