Video game industry has been slow to hire Black video game developers

Advocates say it's too soon to tell whether the small rise in the number of Black people working in the video game industry will be sustained or meaningful.

Why it matters: The percentage of Black people making video games professionally has been stubbornly low for decades.

But scientists also discovered that games aimed at helping children build healthy brain skills don't actually work either.

Researchers from the University of Houston claimed that despite parents' widespread fear, even spending 4.5 hours on a games console does not impact kids' brain function.
