NASA's Artemis 1 Orion spacecraft arrives in Florida | Space

Orion arrived at the agency's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida on Dec. 30, wrapping up a nine-day trek across the country on the back of a truck.

KSC was the jumping-off point for Orion's epic Artemis 1 moon mission, which sent the uncrewed capsule on a shakeout cruise to lunar orbit and back. Artemis 1 launched from KSC on Nov.

NASA asks SpaceX about International Space Station rescue options | Space

NASA has inquired about using a SpaceX Dragon capsule to bring astronauts home from the International Space Station (ISS) following a recent leak aboard a Russian Soyuz capsule, a NASA blog post has stated.

"As a part of the analysis, NASA also reached out to SpaceX about its capability to return additional crew members aboard Dragon if needed in an emergency, although the primary focus is on understanding the post-leak capabilities of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft," the space agency wrote in a Dec.

NASA expecting busy year as it prepares for next Artemis launch in 2024 – Houston Public Media

Fresh off the success of the Artemis 1 mission that concluded last month, NASA says it has a busy year ahead getting ready for the next Artemis launch planned for late 2024.

Artemis 2 will fly past the Moon deeper into space and will use a different, updated Orion crew module, one of four that will be built for the program over the next few years. For NASA, the challenge ahead is obvious; Artemis 1 didn't have a crew on board. Artemis 2 will.
