Lauer, 44, who is currently in his second-term in the General Assembly, received 3,749 votes, or about 68% of the vote, against Nash, 57, the current Bartholomew County prosecutor, who received 1,760 votes, or 32%.
“It is a honor and a pleasure to have the opportunity to serve the people of Columbus and Bartholomew County, and I’m looking forward to run a strong campaign towards November,” Lauer said Tuesday night.
