SpinLaunch's rocket-flinging launch system will loft NASA payload on test flight this year | Space

The newly revealed Space Act Agreement is part of NASA's Flight Opportunities Program, which helps demonstrate technologies that could aid the agency's science and exploration portfolios down the road and spur the growth of the private spaceflight industry .

SpinLaunch aims to help power that growth with its novel launch strategy. That strategy involves accelerating rockets to tremendous speeds here on terra firma using a rotating arm and then flinging them skyward.

Moon Buddy Team Working with NASA on Spacesuits for Lunar Exploration - News - Carnegie Mellon ...

Students working on Carnegie Mellon University's Moon Buddy likely will not walk on the lunar surface as part of NASA's upcoming Artemis missions. But their technology could make its way into space as part of the agency's next generation of spacesuits.

The Moon Buddy team is part of the 2022 NASA Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students (SUITS) Challenge. The CMU team was one of 10 selected to participate and will test their design in May at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
