Man found dead Sunday at Summer Camp music festival at Three Sisters Park

A news release from Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Chillicothe Police and the Peoria County Sheriff's Department were conducting security on park grounds when they found a man unresponsive and not breathing in the bed of his truck about 5:35 p.m.

Harwood identifies the man as Jonathan M. Goetz, 38, of Germantown Hills. The coroner pronounced Goetz dead at the scene, but he said there were no obvious signs of trauma or injury.

Rock band Aerosmith and Universal Music Group sign alliance deal | Reuters

PARIS, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Hard rock band Aerosmith and Universal Music Group (UMG) said they had signed a strategic, global alliance deal, whereby the entire Aerosmith recorded music catalogue is moving to UMG ahead of the band's 50th anniversary and UMG's IPO next month.

UMG will also be the home of Aerosmith's future music projects and merchandise, and will work with the band on new film, television and other audio-visual content.

The concert at the Community & Cultural Center Downtown Amphitheater opened with the Shand Walton Band before Shane Dwight and his band took the stage.

Dwight, who specializes in blues-rock guitar, has recorded nine full studio albums since 2002, and has toured the world. He continues to make occasional appearances at South County venues, including an annual performance at the Friday Night Music Series.

Paul Thorn returns to Ignition Music Garage in Goshen after pandemic

The Mississippi-bred Americana singer-songwriter has already played a handful of shows since music concerts have started happening again.

"When I first came back, the crowds were great," Thorn said. "Attendance was amazingly up, more people at the shows. After about a week of that, it went the other way."

Ky. Symphony's Labor Day Weekend Shows Feature "Boy Band" Music | The River City News

Governor Abbott Announces Vidor Designated As Music Friendly Community | Office of the Texas

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that Vidor, having completed the multi-step certification process, has been designated as a Music Friendly Community by the Texas Music Office (TMO).

"With support from the Texas Music Office, in 2019 the Texas music industry created more than 210,000 direct and indirect permanent jobs in communities all across the Lone Star State and generated $27.3 billion in economic activity," said Governor Abbott.
