SAN ANTONIO – A student at Clark High School in San Antonio is getting social media attention after a video of his walk across the stage during graduation is going viral.
The video posted to Facebook on June 8 shows a student throwing open his graduation gown revealing lingerie before tossing glitter in the air.
Barry Perez, a spokesperson for the Northside Independent School District, didn't confirm the identity of the student but he did confirm that "there was a disruption during the Clark High School graduation event."
"While we can not discuss individual students, I will say that administrative action was taken that day to address the disruption," said Perez. He did not disclose was the administrative action was.
"Each of our high schools conducts a rehearsal session with their seniors and explains, in detail, the procedures for the graduation ceremony including behavioral expectations prior to the event," Perez.
Graduation ceremonies are family events intended to honor and celebrate the many achievements of our graduates. Disruptions detract from this celebratory environment. However, we will not allow any disruption to take away from how proud we are of the Graduates of 2021.
The Facebook video of the lingerie-clad student has been viewed more than 40,000 times as of June 14.
While school administration officials didn't appear to be pleased, an eruption of applause can be heard in the background as the student is escorted off stage.

Rihanna's lingerie leggings makes social media debate butt-baring designs: 'Big
But, this informative piece of text hasn't helped Rihanna's Savage X Fenty lingerie line from minimizing confusion about a cheeky pair of leggings the brand offers. A TikTok user recently questioned the caboose-showing design the celebrity-backed brand used in its Soft Mesh Open-Back Crotchless Legging, according to Metro – a British newspaper.
The now deleted TikTok video featured user @FatherMarge, who shared a screenshot of the purple lavender leggings, which has a triangle cutout and crisscrossing corset strings to hold it together.
Marge mistakenly named Kate Hudson's Fabletics active wear brand as the company that's offering the "crotchless legging." It's not clear how the mix-up came about, but Savage X Fenty and Fabletics are both under TeshStyle Fashion Group , an online membership fashion retailer.
In the video, Marge asked for an explanation on the leggings' design. "Things are getting a little bit crazy," she concluded.
Representatives at Savage X Fenty and TechStyle Fashion Group did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.
Before Marge deleted her TikTok video and set her account to private, the clip had gone viral with more than 3.3 million views, Metro reports.
Marge's video not only shined a light on Savage X Fenty's latest offering, but it spilled over on other social media platforms where people have shared their thoughts on cutout leggings.
"I love Rihanna, but these Fenty gym leggings are trashhhhhhh," one Twitter user wrote Monday morning. "One two deadlift/squat and people will see what you ate for lunch."
"Ummmm... Well, for me - I really don't want this to be my view at the gym, if I'm on a treadmill and the girl on the step machine in front of me, is wearing one of these," another Twitter user shared Monday afternoon. "Yeah, again. A big NO."
Victoria's Secret Finally Raises Prices After Years of Extreme Deals
In a note to clients this week, UBS analysts Jay Sole and Mauricio Serna reiterated their recommendation to buy L Brands stock (the parent company behind Victoria's Secret) and shared data that showed the level of promotions in Victoria's Secret stores — which includes its Pink brand — was "declining at a surprisingly fast rate."
UBS said the average price of an item listed on Victoria's Secret's website in May 2021 was $44, a huge 83% increase from May 2019.
It also found that a quarter of the products on its site were on sale in May 2021. This is still a substantial number but a notable improvement on the level of promotions over the past four years, which floated around the 40% to 60% mark.
But Victoria's Secret's growth over the past few quarters — same-store sales were up 9% in the first quarter of the year versus 2019 and operating income, a measure of profitability, increased by $213 million or 665% — indicates that consumers are becoming comfortable paying more for its apparel and lingerie and that it has a better handle on its inventory levels.
Gabriella Santaniello, analyst and founder of retail research firm A-Line Partners, told Insider that the pandemic enabled Victoria's Secret to have a "reset," and cut back on its inventory, which has facilitated more full-price sales, she said.
The company has made considerable changes to its marketing in the past year. And experts say efforts to update its brand image, which critics previously said was out-of-date and oversexualized, have also helped to boost sales.
The marketing is "more subtle and appropriate," Neil Saunders, managing director of GlobalData Retail, told Insider. It has "fewer sexual overtones and focuses more on more on celebrating women. That has resonated and has pulled some shoppers back to the brand," he said.
And it matches up to what's shown in stores, Santaniello said: "For example, they recently brought in plus-sized mannequins, which reflects their use of plus-sized models in their advertising."
Still, the company needs to keep this "360 focus" long-term, she said. "They need to make sure they do not waiver because it will come across as inauthentic and that's why they haven't really been successful with the turnaround over these past few years."

Women's Lingerie Market Likely To Boost Future Growth By 2026 |
183-year old Mass. company on cutting edge of clothing manufacturing
From high fashion to Personal Protective Equipment, a Massachusetts South Coast company is the largest manufacturer of technical soft goods in the entire Northeast.
"We manufacture everything from lingerie to bulletproof vests, sewing machines, knit material and knit sweaters," Charlie Merrow of Merrow Manufacturing said.
The 183-year old company calls an old mill in the center of Fall River home, but its history can be traced back to Connecticut.
"In 1838, it was a general store in Merrow, Connecticut before it was even called Merrow, Connecticut," Charlie Merrow said.
From a general store to a gun powder factory to finally a knitting mill, Merrow made its mark when it began manufacturing industrial sewing machines.
"Merrow sewing machines are the original overlock sewing machine," Charlie Merrow said. "What you're wearing has a Merrow stitch in it."
As much as Merrow prides itself on the success of the past, it sits on the cutting edge of tomorrow.
"All of these machines are brand new and we purchased them at the height of the crisis," Charlie Merrow said, pointing to new machines inside its Fall River facility.
This past spring, Merrow expanded its manufacturing operation, using material developed from recycled plastic bottles to produce the highest-performing reusable gowns for front line workers.
We've had a lot less sex this past year - Love Letters.com
My partner and I have been together for over five years. We created a beautiful relationship over this time, but something has changed in that span. We are having less and less sex. In 2021 and 2020 combined, we have had sex less than 20 times. I feel like I am missing out with my partner and I miss this person in that way. We have talked about it several times, and my partner cites changes in their body and feelings of discomfort surrounding self-esteem. I don't bring it up often. I do my best to show them how sexy I think they are and always like to spice things up with lingerie or games or similar. After one year plus of this feeling, where do I go from here? How can we reconnect?
Whenever someone tells me, "My relationship has felt a little off since the start of 2020," I'm like, "Well, of course is has."
Some relationships thrived during the past year, which we all experienced so differently , despite the message that we were all in it together. Some people's anxiety went through the roof. Maybe, for your partner, it became about intimacy.
Or maybe this has nothing to do with a global pandemic. All I'll say is that many people are trying to "get back to normal," whatever that means. Think about how other parts of your relationship have changed.
One idea: ask your partner what turns them on. When do they think of sex? What would make them comfortable (even if, for now, it's a very dark room)? Ask whether the lingerie and games are fun for all involved. Maybe they are, but again, maybe your partner has thoughts on what works. Another idea: make it clear that this matters. You say you don't bring the issue up often, and I'm glad this isn't a situation where there's already a ton of pressure, but I do think it's time to tell your partner you miss sex with them a lot . You can say you don't want this to feel like a task, but you really like that part of your relationship, so you want to know how to get it back.
Readers? How do you let a partner know this is a big deal without putting pressure on and making it worse? How would you talk to someone about this?
"Do you still have any kind of skin to skin contact? Do you still tangle your legs together when sleeping? Maybe this is their love language, not sex. Don't have a talk about the lack of sex or wanting more, have a talk about each other's love languages and what makes you each feel the other is paying attention to the others' needs." – CuppaJoeSeattle
CAN’T HELP MYSELF is Meredith's memoir about giving advice, learning from readers, working with an ex, and moms and daughters. It's also a story about how an online community can become another kind of family.
