In the snapshot, a blonde Vergara is seen rocking a blue lingerie set as she looks back at the camera.
Vergara is no stranger to strutting her stuff online, with the star sharing several bikini throwbacks earlier this year.
Most recently, Vergara shared another throwback photo from the '90s which featured the star wearing a red two-piece as she posed on a giant shoe chair.
"I forgot to post this #tbt yesterday but I also forgot where was this, for what was this or why I was doing this!!!!????" Vergara wondered in the caption .
Paige VanZant Rocks Black Lingerie in Steamy New Photo
Paige VanZant is having a lot of fun on social media. The 27-year-old former MMA star posted a new photo on Instagram this week this shows her wearing black lingerie. And in the caption, VanZant wrote she is "Drunk in love" while also promoting her website, PaigeFanZant.com.
VanZant signed a four-fight, exclusive contract with BKFC after spending several years in UFC. "It was an amazing contract, an amazing opportunity," VanZant told ESPN. "I also feel like it's not a move backwards for me. It's a lateral move to a new opportunity, a new challenge, a brand new sport. I really have sparked a brand new passion for it and especially for striking in general.
"And, on top of that, I feel like I still have this stigma in MMA that I'm just a pretty face, and what a way to prove to people that's not the way I see myself at all. This is a sport where people probably have the highest rate of getting cut open and having long-term scars is definitely something that I'm not even worried about for me."
During her time in MMA, VanZant posted an 8-5 record. She won her first six of seven matches and defeated Ostovich in a UFC Bout in 2019. Once her contract is up in BKFC, it's very possible VanZant could return to MMA.
"I still have a huge passion for MMA, and I just recently relocated to Florida to train with American Top Team," VanZant said to ESPN. "Obviously they are one of the best MMA gyms in the world. Right now, my sole focus is boxing, but in a few years I could go back to MMA or I could just be making so much doing this bare knuckle boxing that I don't do anything else."
Lessons in lingerie: 'Every decade the changes in underwear reflect where society is'
The average UK woman is said to own around eight bras – for Karolina Laskowska, however, who not only designs lingerie but also runs a museum dedicated to the evolution of underwear, that figure is currently in the hundreds – and rising.
Laskowska, 29, founded her online Underpinnings Museum in 2016 having amassed an expansive collection of vintage lingerie, almost by accident. It began with a 1950s corselet – a foundation garment combining corset and bra – given to a teenage Laskowska by her cousin.
The piece had previously belonged to a friend's grandmother. Custom-made in pale pink heavy brocade cotton coutil, the corselet fastens at the back with salmon-coloured lacing and along one side, where 18 hook and eye clasps run the length of the body.
Laskowska occasionally wore the piece to parties in her youth before she realised its value as a historical artefact. Now, she says, rather than wearing the pieces, her priority is to "preserve everything", and document it all in the Underpinnings Museum, which comprises around 500 pieces.
To her frustration, Laskowska, who is based in Oslo, is unable to view any of the artefacts in her museum in person at the moment – the collection is stored in archival-grade boxes in her childhood bedroom, in London: "Everything is safe, I just miss having access to it all."
For many women, a year of lockdowns has meant a chance to unhook their bras and go about their business free from jutting underwires and digging straps at last. Figures released by Kantar last summer showed that sales of underwired bras had experienced considerable decline since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic – they dropped 37 per cent in the 12 weeks to the end of June 2020 compared with the same period the previous year.
That non-essential physical stores were closed could well account for a large proportion of this sales slump, but more recent findings, released by YouGov in February, indicate that many women dispensed with their bras this year, at least temporarily: a third of those polled said that during the 2021 lockdown they had been wearing a bra less often.
Laskowska is not surprised that such a significant proportion of women has chosen to forgo bras, particularly those who are working from home, but points out that consumer preferences had begun shifting toward less structured options such as stretchy crop tops, and non-wired bralettes prior to the pandemic. Part of Laskowska's fascination with lingerie centres around how developments in society can be traced through our changing underwear preferences.
"Every decade the changes in underwear – the materials, shapes, sizes – are so reflective of where society is: technology, women's rights, social change, labour practices," she observes.
