Best gym shorts for men: 17 men's sports short to buy in 2021

The best gym shorts will let you focus on the task at hand. Whether that be running, CrossFit or just a casual kickabout, the last thing you need is to be distracted by what you're wearing.

One of Nike's best-selling pieces, these shorts are a must-have for runners. The unrestrictive shell allows for long strides and maximum flexibility, while the skin-tight liner provides coverage and holds everything in. Customers have noted the phone pocket, in particular, which remains flat to the skin and prevents bounce.

Under Armour's seamless shorts fit like a second skin on the thighs, making them perfect for spin classes, running or wearing as a base layer.

Lululemon's shorts are lined in breathable mesh with a built-in pocket for your phone. They come in a plethora of colourways, but neon green is great for night time runs.

It's surprisingly hard to find gym shorts with zip pockets – and yet we all want to stash our keys, card and phone in safety.

Great for lounging or LISS activities, H&M's sweatshirt shorts are a bargain at £12.99.

Lululemon's mens department is one of MH 's best-kept secrets. These training half tights are cut for a second-skin fit from abrasion resistant qualities Lycra to stop them wearing out after years of intense spin sessions.

No one likes feeling restricted while running. If you want to feel free as a bird, these super short shorts from Lululemon will do the trick.

M&S' gym shorts tick all the boxes – they have an adjustable waist, three pockets and reflective stripes for visibility – and are a total bargain at £20. They're made from recycled polyester, so one of the more sustainable choices around.

'Masked Singer': Hanson unveiled as Russian Dolls during elimination

Just five costumes remained at the top of Wednesday's throwdown. Black Swan, Chameleon, Piglet, Yeti and the Russian Dolls brought their A-game, hoping to forge on in the singing competition.

The show's panelists – Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke – got a boost from the wisecracking actor/comedian Rob Riggle. This week, the challengers' clue packages revealed the celebrities who inspire them, while fan mail delivered to "The Masked Singer" stage further shed light on the players' identities.

Decked out in big glasses and boas, the contestants performed Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" before reading a letter from an admirer. "I was a fan of you individually, but when I saw you band together in person – wow!" the letter read. "Like, I can't even. Love you to the moon and back again."

Guesses: Riggle wondered if it could be rock group Devo on stage. Jeong guessed "One Week" singers, Barenaked Ladies, while Scherzinger bet on "MMMBop" artists Hanson.

Clues: Black Swan revealed that icon Cher holds a special place in her heart. "We've both been a part of iconic fantasy films, and she was a part of my world the very first time I shared my voice," Black Swan said.

Onstage, Swan put her own stamp on Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," which gave McCarthy and Scherzinger chills. "I literally wrote down, 'Gave me goosebumps under this sweaty latex,'" Scherzinger said mocking her skin-tight, plaid gloves.

Guesses: Jeong's instinct led him to "Levitating" singer Dua Lipa, while Thicke envisioned "Motivation" artist Normani under the costume.

After nailing Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," Piglet opened up his flattering fan mail. "Whether on my TV or in my headphones, I am so lucky I discovered you in the '90s, but I've never been jealous of your public relationships," the Piglet-zealot wrote. "P.S. I drew your picture."

Guesses: For McCarthy, signs pointed to musician/actor Justin Timberlake, while Jeong suspected "Hawkeye" star Jeremy Renner. But we think Thicke has the right answer with his guess of 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey.

Britney Spears Unveils New Hair Color in Sultry Dancing Videos

Britney Spears just debuted a new hair color! The pop star unveiled her new pink hair and fans are loving every bit of it. The singer took to her Instagram account and posted a few photos of her in a leopard, skin-tight bodysuit as she showed off her new look. "Miss pussycat loves to bite ... be careful ladies and gentlemen," she captioned her post.

Spears' fans were in full support of her new look, with one person writing, "OMG PINK HAIR PINK HAIR PINK HAIR!" while someone else said, "Meow." Another fan noted that her court date coming up, where the 39-year-old will face a judge and be able to speak on behalf of herself for the first time since her conservatorship started. "JUNE 23 you know what to do Lioness," they wrote.

Spears seems to be having a lot more fun with her captions lately now that she knows she's getting an opportunity to speak for herself, instead of her father, Jamie Spears. Fans could not be more thrilled for her since she's been under his supervision for over a decade now. She recently posted a very clear message to her fans and viewers as that date approaches, of a little girl flipping off the camera in a school photo. "Hi my name is Britney Spears ... nice to meet you [three middle finger emojis]!!!! One of my strongest gifts is that I'm pretty straight forward," she captioned the photo.

Her fans flooded the comment section and seemed absolutely thrilled she seems to be showing an edgier side these days. Following the New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, she's gained a lot of attention over what's really been happening throughout the years. After being denied by a judge previously to speak for herself, she's finally getting an opportunity to do so. It's said that Spears is at odds with her father, who presides over her finances and career as a result of the conservatorship.

The court ordered this after it was clear that Spears was struggling with the challenges that come with being in the public eye, however, what the documentary shed light on, and begged to question, why wasn't she simply given the opportunity to receive help instead of being shoved into a conservatorship. For years, her fans have been fighting for her and now it seems as though things are starting to pay off.

Fans Call Out Rihanna For Biting Nicki Minaj's Shoe Style

It's been a while since Rihanna posted anything on Twitter, and anytime she rises to the surface on social media, fans immediately clamor to her page to see what the latest update is from the music mogul. She didn't release new music with her latest tweet, but she did produce some optimal entertainment value.

She just appeared on Twitter with a very seductive post about a hot new product being released under her Fenty Skin label, but she revealed more than just her ultra-fit figure.

Rihanna happened to also reveal the very same shoes that Nicki Minaj just rocked on her social media account.

touch dat BUTTA baby.

one thing bout #BUTTADROP , it's gon give what's its s'pose to gave!!! pic.twitter.com/Ftctaiduot

All eyes were on Rihanna's shimmering legs and perfectly toned arms as she sat perfectly poised for her photo. Wearing a skin-tight, body-hugging knitted dress in a stunning eggshell color, Rihanna was a vision of pure beauty, and the photo was a clear winner as far as attracting the attention of her fans.

Her seductive downward glance put even greater emphasis on her body, and as fans followed her gaze... they realized her shoes.

In spite of the fact that these fashionable shoes may be the hottest thing in shoe-fashion right now, fans clapped back at Rihanna for biting Minaj's style and trying to pull it off as her own.

Fans are really disappointed in Rihanna for biting Minaj's style, but she's such a beloved celebrity that many of her fans are holding out hope that this could perhaps not be a fail as much as a hint.

Many fans came forward to suggest this could be an intentional ploy , hinting at the fact that Rihanna and Nicki Minaj are collaborating on new music. After all, they've both teased new music lately and it would be great to hear them release a collaboration.

Britney Spears debuts pastel pink hair

The popstar took to Instagram on Monday to post a series of snaps showing her posing in a skin-tight leopard-print catsuit.

But while Britney's outfit certainly grabbed attention, many fans were quick to notice that she had swapped her signature blonde locks for a fun pale pink colour.

"Miss pussycat loves to bite... be careful ladies and gentlemen!!!!" the 39-year-old captioned the post.

Britney didn't detail the inspiration for her new hue. Yet, many of her 29 million followers were quick to voice their approval.

Britney often shares details of her exercise regime and favourite new purchases with fans via the photo-sharing platform.

And after Reese Witherspoon recently uploaded a montage clip of her favourite outfits from the '90s, the Toxic singer followed suit last week. The video featured her sporting dresses with thigh-high boots, lace dresses, skater skirts, as well as crop tops and denim shorts during her many red carpet appearances throughout the early 2000s.

"Bringing it back to the 2000s when everything was simpler before social media!!!! Should I bring these outfits back?" she asked.

In response, Adam Rippon wrote, "BRING BACK EVERY OUTFIT," while another fan posted, "YES PLEASE! And your suede coat with the fur collar!!!!!!!!"

While the world ties itself in knots trying to figure out the best testing and quarantine regimes for the restart of overseas travel, some countries have relieved themselves of such stress. There is a hotch-potch of destination outliers that have decided to let British holidaymakers in without the need for a negative test or a period of quarantine. No fuss. For some nations, one might wonder whether the pandemic has passed them unawares. Below we list those nations who do not ask British visitors, vaccinated or otherwise, to quarantine or present a negative test. All but one is on the UK's amber list, making the majority somewhat a moot point, as the Department for Transport would still require you to test upon return and quarantine for up to 10 days. This list will be updated as and when new countries relax their entry requirements. Estonia What colour is it? Amber One of only two European countries not to ask for a negative test result from British visitors, Estonia does have quarantine restrictions in place, but not for travellers from the UK. Should the UK see its case rate rise above 150 per 100,000 people over 14 days, it would then pass a threshold and a negative PCR test would be required, or a 10-day quarantine; it is currently below 50. North Macedonia What colour is it? Amber North Macedonia is, of course, the other. North Macedonia (Macedonia up until 2019) says anyone with symptoms should self isolate, but otherwise there is no quarantine requirement. The UK Foreign Office says of the country's entry requirements: "There is no requirement for passengers arriving from the UK to self-isolate. No PCR test is required."

Truck firm boss branded 'sexist' after using two 'scantily-clad' women in job adverts - Mirror

A truck firm boss has denied he is sexist after he hired "scantily-clad" women to hold up job ads on the side of the road.

Imogen Dangerfield was 'horrified' after seeing two glamour girls posing next to the side of the road.

The women held placards up with 'drivers wanted' and truck driver agency's contact details and company logo emblazoned on them.

One is wearing a skin-tight bodysuit and the other sports a thin boob tube, tight skirt and thigh-high socks.

Mum-of-one Imogen Dangerfield quickly launched into a social media tirade to brand the firm "sexist" for objectifying women' and called on others to contact them and complain.

She said: "It's completely inappropriate. This implies that all HGV drivers are interested in girls with their t**s out.

She said: "They're dressed like sex workers. I'm not dissing sex workers. They're selling sex, but this is about drivers. When I saw it I was horrified. I just thought 'what the hell'.

The 48-year-old claims her messages to BWN Ltd. Driver Management Group ion Felixstowe were rebuffed.

But company director Adam Giles defended the stunt saying claiming it wasn't intended to be sexist.

How Taco Van Der Hoorn's bike and kit helped him win a Giro stage - BikeRadar

It's rare to see a lone breakaway rider outfox the peloton on a sprint stage at a Grand Tour, so it was fantastic to see Taco Van Der Hoorn (what a great name, by the way) of Team Intermarché – Wanty – Gobert Matériaux take a win on stage three of the 2021 Giro d'Italia.

How can one rider overcome the collective strength of the teams working together to bring everything back together in time for a sprint finish? On the face of it, it's an almost impossible task.

Tactics played a big role, of course, and Van Der Hoorn expertly exploited the brinkmanship taking place between the top sprint teams. It also looked very much like the peloton underestimated the Dutch rider's strength, giving him too much leeway without realising he had the firepower to make the move stick.

It was also an exciting victory for us tech nerds, though, because Van Der Hoorn was using a highly optimised clothing and bike setup.

With a final gap of just four seconds over the chasing peloton, I'd argue those optimisations were absolutely crucial to his victory.

To make it clear, that's not to take anything away from his physical performance, which was clearly immense. But racing is about combining brains and brawn, and Van Der Hoorn clearly has both in spades.

So, let's take a look at five key optimisations that Van Der Hoorn used to give himself the fastest possible setup.

The rider is the biggest cause of aerodynamic drag in the rider plus bike system, accounting for around 80 per cent of the total .

Anything you can do to improve the way the air flows over your body can, therefore, make a significant difference to how much power is required to ride at a given speed. In other words, if you can make your body more aero, you'll be able to ride faster for the same effort.

Olly Alexander wanted to feel like his 'most powerful gay self' for iconic BRIT Awards performance

The empowering performance kicked off with Olly Alexander lying on a grand piano wearing a black lace outfit complete with a crop top and a velvet cape.

The singer said the song "really highlights the gay experience" and the television series of the same name started a national conversation around queer history.

He went on to explain that the concept for the performance, which saw dancers from the Theo Adams Company join him on stage, was "liberation and queer spirit".

Speaking about the outfit, Olly Alexander explained: "It's a two-piece, with a halter-style crop top and trousers that flare at the bottom." The outfit is made up of "black lace with crystal details", he added.

"It's skin-tight, but also stretchy so I can move. I'm wearing it with creepers. I just can't go out on stage without a creeper! And I'm wearing a very large velvet cape."

He continued: "I really wanted glamour and to feel really powerful in the look, and I definitely do. I feel like my most powerful gay self.

"I wanted something that would make me feel really strong and sexy, but that was also beautiful and fluid – and that's what Harris's work is for me."

BRIT Awards viewers were blown away by Alexander and John's rendition of "It's a Sin", with many heaping praise on them for putting queerness front and centre at the awards ceremony.

The pair have also released their duet on streaming platforms, with proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
