The Mitchells vs. The Machines cast is loaded up with big name celebrities, so who are the main players? Produced by Oscar winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller ( Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ), The Mitchells vs. The Machines follows a family during a road trip from Michigan to California. Along the way, they get caught up in robot revolution and team up with their fellow humans.
The Mitchells vs. The Machines was directed by Mike Rianda, who co-wrote the animated comedy with Jeff Rowe. The storyline focuses on familial dynamics and all the personal quirks that make each individuals so unique. The filmmakers incorporated numerous Easter eggs for Netflix audiences to locate, and feature two different styles of animation for the humans vs. technology narrative.
Abbi Jacobson voices Katie Mitchell, an 18-year-old aspiring filmmaker who produces YouTube videos starring her pug, Monchi. During a tech uprising, she channels her inner action hero. Jacobson starred as Abbi Abrams in Broad City and portrayed Jessica Baiers in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising . She also voices Bean in Disenchantment .
Danny McBride voices Rick Mitchell, Katie's father. He despises technology and isn't surprised by a robot uprising. McBride starred as Kenny Powers in Eastbound & Down and Neal Gamby in Vice Principals . He also portrayed Red in Pineapple Express and Jess Gemstone in The Righteous Gemstones .
Mike Rianda voices Aaron Mitchell, Katie's younger brother. He's a dinosaur enthusiast who doesn't have strong social skills. Aside from directing The Mitchells vs. the Machines , Rianda voiced Mike in Gravity Falls .
Eric Andre voices Dr. Mark Bowman, a tech entrepreneur who created PAL Labs. He fails with his safety precautions and inadvertently causes a Pal Max uprising. Andre hosted The Eric Andre Show from 2012 to 2020 and voiced Azizi in The Lion King (2019). He also voices Luci in Disenchantment and starred as Chris Carey in the 2021 Netflix movie Bad Trip .
Olivia Colman voices PAL, a virtual assistant operating system. She leads a revolution against her creator and all humans. Colman portrayed Doris Thatcher in Hot Fuzz and Queen Anne in The Favourite . She also stars as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown and headlined The Father as Anne.
Chrissy Teigen voices Hailey Posey, the Mitchell's neighbor. Teigen is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and currently hosts Lip Sync Battle . She also voiced Crystal in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation .
Charlyne Yi voices Abby Posey, Hailey and Jim's daughter who forms a bond with Aaron. Yi portrayed Jodi in Knocked Up and Dr. Chi Park in House . She also voiced Ruby in Steven Universe and Pennywhistle in the 2020 movie Trolls World Tour .

"He called me right away," the 35-year-old told the outlet. "He's pretty low-key, but he was like, 'Honey, this is great!' And I said, 'Oh you kind of sound more like my mother. So enthusiastic!'"
Back in 2015, Alexa Ray told Fox News that her father has greatly influenced her as she embarked on her own career as a solo artist.
"He can transcend genres and do of these different voices," she shared at the time. "He can do that more doo-wop, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons sound that he does on '52nd Street,' but he can be more of a classic rock 'n' roll guy, which he does on 'Glass Houses.'"
"I learned about embracing all different genres as opposed to just getting attached to one. I just learned so much from him. He's like a musical encyclopedia," she added.
She shared it was Brinkley, 67, who encouraged her to be confident, as well as to embrace herself, inside and out.
"I've learned pretty much everything from my mom," said Joel. "She's taught me a lot about just taking care of yourself — skincare, great makeup tricks. She's very good at putting together that very effortless-style look… [And] she's got the best style. She's really the most stylish woman I know. I'm just trying to keep up!"

I used to audition with New York State of Mind," says Astin. "He tells such a story and I sang all of his songs for so long. I even have this piano book from childhood on my piano still in my house." Astin describes meeting Billy Joel after seeing him perform and play piano in the play, "Spring Awakening." "He came backstage. He was in the dressing room... He said, 'Oh there's the piano man' and I literary just completely fan boy-ed out. I just couldn't even believe that Billy Joel knew who I was." Astin adds, "It's definitely a dream of mine to be able to play him in a biopic at one point. That's definitely a dream of mine that I want to put out there at some point."

'Port Authority' Trailer: Leyna Bloom and Fionn Whitehead's Ballroom Love Story
Leyna Bloom and Fionn Whitehead star in a New York City love story set amid the ballroom scene in the drama Port Authority , and ET can exclusively debut the trailer.
Whitehead plays Paul, who finds himself in NYC with nowhere to turn after being kicked out of his home. A chance encounter with Wye (Bloom), a trans woman of color and ballroom regular, gives way to a blossoming romancing as the couple navigates chosen family and the secrets of Paul's past. "It has always been my dream to have the chance to represent the ballroom community on the big screen," Bloom tells ET. (The actress, who next stars on Pose , made history as the first trans woman of color to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition .) "Ballroom means so much to LGBTQI+ youth of color and my personal evolution as a trans person. I was raised by ballroom, and this has been one of my wildest dreams come true, being able to pay homage to so many trans women who came before me."

Port Authority counts Martin Scorsese as an executive producer and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
