Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton spotted shopping, dining in Round Top

Singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani shopped for antiques with her interior designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, left, at the spring 2021 Marburger Farm Antique Show.

It’s not uncommon for shoppers at Round Top’s spring and fall antiques shows to see a celebrity or two. This year’s sightings included singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani.

She was spotted shopping at Marburger Farm Antique Show on Saturday and later that night she and fiance/country singer Blake Shelton, dined at Lulu’s , an Italian eatery owned by Houston restaurateur Armando Palacios and his wife, Cinda.

Stefani and Shelton announced their engagement last October and reportedly will marry this summer. The couple met when they both were coaches on NBC’s “The Voice” in 2015.

Instagram posts capture Stefani at various dealers’ booths as well as a photo shopping with her interior designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, who in the past has visited Round Top antiques shows both as a panel speaker and with clients. Bullard’s celebrity clientele includes Tommy Hilfiger, Ellen Pompeo and several in the Jenner-Kardashian family.

TV personality Carson Kressley, of Bravo’s long-running hit show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” also posted his own Instagram photo — in jeans and a big ol’ turquoise belt buckle — from his recent visit to Round Top.

The video shows Stefani and Saweetie singing and dancing in a high school gym and locker room. The pair are joined by several backup dancers.

Stefani released the original version of "Slow Clap" in March. The song will appear on her forthcoming fifth studio album, Let Me Reintroduce Myself .

"Generally, I just wanted to make an album that was full of joy and hope. I think the one line in ['Slow Clap'] is, 'Are you rooting for me like I'm rooting for you?' I feel like that was just kind of where I was at in that moment when I wrote the song," she said.

"I'm still writing," she added. "I think that's what's been really fun about this project, is to be able to drop singles and actually still be working on new music as I'm doing it."

Saweetie Set To 'Slow Clap' With Gwen Stefani | HipHopDX

On Tuesday (April 6), music superstar and The Voice coach Gwen Stefani teased her upcoming "Slow Clap" video + single combo that features that "Tap In" rapper.

"u didn't think we'd leave u without a music video, did u?!" Gwen Stefani wrote on Instagram while pumping the Friday (April 9) release date.

For her part, Saweetie echoed the promotion on her Instagram writing, " @gwenstefani "SLOW CLAP" feat. me dropping this Friday 4/9 I KNOW DAS RIGHTTT," with an assortment of party emojis.

The video teaser smells like “Hollaback Girl” spirit, depicting both artists in a sports locker room setting.

Saweetie has also been keeping busy curating up-and-coming talent such as Drakeo The Ruler and Bbyafrika for her Pretty Summer Playlist , also dropping on Friday.

Before immortalizing her celebrity as a coach on music competition show The Voice in 2014, Gwen Stefani ensured her music legacy as the lead vocalist for multi-platinum 90s rock band (technically ska; look it up) No Doubt before embarking on an identically lauded solo career in 2004.

Throughout her ascension in the rock world, she famously won a Grammy in 2002 working with Hip Hop elite Dr. Dre and Eve for the song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind." The distinction marked the first-ever Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Grammy Award and its video countdown-dominating visual owes its status to a bit of bad luck.

In a March 2021 interview with HipHopDX , Eve recalled how she accidentally set her hair on fire ahead of the "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" video — and she hadn't even met her future Grammy co-winner yet!

"I remember picking her brain — and I've told this story before — but we only met face-to-face on the set of the video of 'Blow Ya Mind.' We didn't record it together, we only talked on the phone and there was so much there.

Blake Shelton Hints at When He May Walk Away From 'The Voice'

Blake Shelton has a busy, thriving career on multiple fronts, but he doesn't plan for things to stay that way forever. In a recent interview, the country superstar and coach on TV's The Voice hints that he may walk away from the spotlight "sooner than later" to spend more quiet time with his wife-to-be, Gwen Stefani .

“I hope that’s not too far down the road," Shelton replies with a laugh. "Ten years sounds like way too long to me. I’d like to see that sooner than later.”

Shelton and Stefani spent most of their COVID-19 quarantine together at his ranch in Oklahoma with her three sons before moving into their first home together in Los Angeles in time for the new school year. They  announced their engagement  in October of 2020.

Shelton also tells Kotb that if things go the way he'd like and the loosening coronavirus restrictions permit, he plans to marry Stefani "hopefully this summer."

"I'm afraid if she and I wait until next November, then I'm right back into  The Voice  cycle again," he observes. "And I really want to be able to have plenty of time before and after."

New Songs: Doja Cat/SZA, Gwen Stefani/Saweetie, Tony Allen, more

Doja Cat is gearing up to release her new album Planet Her this summer, and its new single "Kiss Me More" is a collab with SZA. Doja Cat told Apple Music that she made this song "in the spirit of" SZA, and then eventually reached out to her to have her sing on it. It's pretty much the perfect middle ground between SZA's ethereal R&B and Doja Cat's more immediate, radio-friendly vibe.

Gwen Stefani has shared a new version of her recent single "Slow Clap," and this one features a newly-added verse by rising rapper Saweetie, who also joins Gwen in the high school cheerleaders-inspired video.

Conway the Machine stays extremely prolific, and he's now set to release a new project, La Maquina , next week (April 16 via Griselda/Drumwork/EMPIRE). New single "Blood Roses" is genuinely great stuff; classic Conway but feels fresh for him too.

Kataan is the new post-metal duo of guitarist/vocalist Nicholas Thornbury (ex-Vattnet Viskar) and drummer/bassist Brett Boland (Astronoid), and their self-titled debut EP arrives May 7 via Prosthetic. Hear the towering "Abyss" now.

Posthumous Tony Allen album There is No End is out April 30 and features a whole host of guests, including Damon Albarn, Danny Brown, Skepta, and Sampa the Great who provides vocals to this track. “Uncle Tony was involved in changing the way African Music was heard and felt, and he has constantly inspired me to learn and to expand my music," says Sampa.

Raf Rundell of The 2 Bears and Greco Roman Disco just released his new solo album O.M. Days . The album runs the gamut of dance styles, from '70s disco to '80s synthpop and '90s house and R&B. Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family and Ceephax Acid Crew's Andy Jenkins guest on tracks.

Polo G has a new album called Hall of Fame expected this year, and it'll include this new single, which finds him exploring his melodic side to great effect.

UK rapper/singer/producer/instrumentalist BERWYN follows his very promising 2020 debut DEMOTAPE/VEGA with his first single of 2021. Like DEMOTAPE/VEGA , it's an inventive track that blurs the lines between early James Blake and current UK rap.

CupcakKe hasn't released a new album since putting out two LPs in 2018, but she's stayed prolific with several singles since then. Here's her first of 2021, the triumphant-sounding "Mickey."
