Pregnant Ellie Goulding Leans on Princess Eugenie, Katy Perry

Getting by with the help of her friends! Ellie Goulding revealed that Princess Eugenie and Katy Perry have been two of her biggest supporters amid her first pregnancy.

The "Love Me Like You Do" singer has turned to Eugenie , 31, who welcomed her first child , son August, with husband Jack Brooksbank , last month, for guidance on pregnancy ups and downs.

"She's been a great friend throughout this," Goulding said of the princess. "We've talked a lot about pregnancy, and she's been inspirational because she just takes everything in her stride."

The British singer noted that Perry, 36, who shares 7-month-old daughter Daisy with Orlando Bloom , has "been great too" throughout the whole process.

"And my manager has gone through her pregnancy with me, along with both our families and friends from home who have had babies," Goulding, who is married to art dealer Caspar Jopling , added. "It just brings everyone closer together."

Goulding also explained her reasoning behind announcing her pregnancy last month, at the 30-week mark, saying, "I needed time to get my head around it. I needed that space to process what was happening."

The "Close to Me" singer, who learned she is expecting baby No. 1 with Jopling, 29, in August 2020, admitted she was able to keep the news under wraps amid the coronavirus pandemic lockdown by wearing her husband's big coats .

Once the couple moved into a new house, she said, "It felt like we had these proper roots, and it was the right moment to say something."

Goulding announced that she was having her first child on February 23, telling Vogue , "The thought of getting pregnant didn't seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but] I have curves I've never had before. I'm enjoying it. My husband's enjoying it."

Orlando Bloom Says He's Eating a "90 Percent Plant-Based" Diet

Convincing your significant other to change their diet and drop animal products is typically one of the biggest hurdles, but singer Katy Perry’s plant-based journey must’ve inspired a change in fiancé and actor Orlando Bloom. The Pirates of the Caribbean star announced that he is eating a mostly plant-based diet during an interview with  The Sunday Times . He supported this decision claiming that cows are beautiful, following in the footsteps of his fiancé's decision to leave animal products out of their diets.

“I’m 90 percent plant-based, so I’ll only eat a really good piece of red meat maybe once a month,” Bloom said. I sometimes look at a cow and think, ’That’s the most beautiful thing ever.’”

The celebrity explained his daily routine during the interviewing, saying that his schedule is “quite L.A.” Bloom begins his day Buddhist chanting and spending quality time with his daughter, Daisy. The actor shared that his meals often contain no animal products, and his transition to a plant-based diet is happening seamlessly.

“I like to earn my breakfast so I’ll just have some green powders that I mix with brain octane oil, a collagen powder for my hair and nails, and some protein,” Bloom said.

Even though this is the first time the actor confirmed his plant-based diet, it’s not the first time he’s publicly talked about enjoying meatless meals. The Lord of the Rings actor posted on his Instagram in 2019 that Burger King’s Impossible Whopper is a road trip necessity, championing the fast-food restaurants’ plant-based patty.

Bloom’s fiancé Katy Perry announced last year that she was finally ready to be vegan. The superstar has been extremely vocal about her plant-based journey, dressing up as a plant-based burger twice, at the 2019 Met Gala, and again in a Taylor Swift music video. Perry also became an investor in Impossible Food–the company that makes the couple’s favorite meat-free burger.

“I’m about 95 percent ready to be 100-percent vegan,” Perry tweeted last year. “My dog nugget has been joining me on this journey for the past four months.”

When Katy Perry Was Katy Hudson: Remembering Her Christian Album Debut - E! Online

Back before she was kissing girls and liking it or feeling like a teenage dream—that is to say well before Super Bowl halftime and American Idol stages were even a remote possibility—she was merely Katy Hudson , a girl with her guitar.

You'd be forgiven, though, for thinking Katy arrived on the scene in 2007 with the (unfortunate) debut single "Ur So Gay" as a fresh-faced newcomer with no musical history behind her. There's very little evidence left in the world that would argue otherwise, after all. But the album that put her on the map, 2008's One of the Boys , wasn't her first.

That distinction belongs to a contemporary Christian LP self-titled by a teenage artist still using her father's last name, released two decades ago on Mar. 6 before fading away into obscurity. Katy's first collection of songs isn't available anywhere to stream legally, destined to remain merely a footnote in the superstar's biography, perhaps both out of legal necessity (the label folded just after releasing the album) and by design. After all, it is easier to create the mystique of a global pop star if their earlier failed attempts on stardom aren't quite so accessible.

Though we may not have access to the album as it marks 20 years of existence to inform us about Katy's artistry before hitting it big, we can turn to those who knew her when for some insight. With that in mind, E! News spoke exclusively with some of Katy's earliest collaborators about the girl they knew way back when. And what they had to say just might surprise you.

After making her way to Nashville, where she began recording demos and learning to write songs, she caught the attention of Red Hill Records, an youth market-focused imprint of Pamplin Music. They signed her to a deal and she got to work on what would become her first album.

One of the writers Katy was paired with was Tommy Collier , who co-wrote and produced two of the album's 10 tracks. "I met her and her mom in a meeting and listened to a little bit of stuff that she had been working on," he recalled. "And eventually I ended up getting with her and writing some. Katy knew about three or four guitar chords. She had a great voice. It was just kind of like a jazzy vocal, you know, with good sound and everything like that."

As Tommy described her, Katy was both "motivated" and a "quick picker-upper" whom he taught a lot of her guitar skills, including a certain chord voice that not many people play. "Whenever I see her playing guitar and doing that, I know that I showed her how to do that," he said. What struck Tommy most about Katy was her "mature" voice that belied her 16 years.

"It was raw, you know? Kinda like Alanis Morrissette at that time 'cause she was listening to that kind of music a lot," he explained, adding, "She could break her voice up a lot. She can go into falsetto and have a real gentle voice and then have, like, a real strong voice, which is kind of hard to do."

According to Tommy, not everyone at the label shared his impression of Katy's talent. "They just didn't get it," he admitted. "I was like, 'Dude, that girl's probably going to be a big star.'"

After postponing their wedding twice, it looks like  Katy Perry  and Orlando Bloom may have gone ahead and just got married — at least that's what Twitter users think. Bloom, Perry, and their 6-month-old daughter Daisy were out in Hawaii yesterday. And while Perry kept her outfit low-key (she wore workout clothes, a fanny pack, and a baseball cap with MAMA embroidered on it), she wasn't shy about flashing her ring. The family has been in Hawaii for several weeks.

...

Perry and Bloom got engaged in February 2019 . They had initially hoped to get married in Japan last summer, but the coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone.

"It was all set for Japan with 150 guests. Katy was actually really excited about walking down the aisle pregnant," a source told  People . "They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus."

As she got further along in her pregnancy, Perry said that her focus shifted. Plus, the uncertainty of 2020 made it difficult to plan anything, she explained to  The Mirror . At the time, she was still hopeful that a wedding would happen eventually.

Perry and Bloom haven't offered any official comment on the matter, which some Twitter users pointed out.

Other fans and Perry  fan accounts , however,  retweeted the news  and  offered  their congratulations —  and surprise .

Perry was married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012. Bloom was married to Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013. They share a son, Flynn.
