The 62-year-old singer shared a carousel of pics to Instagram on Sunday, March 28 that show her wearing black lingerie consisting of underwear, a strappy bra and a vintage biker cap. In the caption, she referenced the alter ego she had explored in her 2019 album Madame X , although she did not specify when the shots were taken.
"And Now For A Moment of Self Reflection...Madame [X emoji]," Madonna captioned the post.
The images spurred reactions from plenty of famous pals, including Snoop Dogg , who commented, "I need u [heart-with-sparkles emojis]. Hit. Guy." He added a film-projector emoji, along with a variety of others.
Asia Argento wrote, "You're so stunning," adding a heart-with-arrow emoji. And Kelly Ripa simply replied with five fire emojis.
This is not the first time this month that Madonna's Instagram presence has made headlines. In a recent TikTok video that went viral, Australian user Amelia Goldie accused the star of allegedly photoshopping her face onto Amelia's photo and posting it to Instagram way back in 2015.
"When Madonna posts a photo of herself to IG to promote her album but its actually your body (I'm not joking)," the TikTok user wrote in the video. The clip compared Madonna's Instagram post from 2015 to a photo of Amelia, and the bodies and outfits appear identical.

The "Take a Bow" singer has not addressed the claims from the TikTok video about the May 2015 post. At the time, Madonna had captioned the pic, "I look Kewl...[heart emoji]#rebelheart."

5 Things You May Not Know About Madonna's First Hit Ballad, "Crazy For You" - Biography
Madonna, however, was a little-known artist when she signed on to sing "Crazy for You." The song, recorded in 1983, was part of the soundtrack for the movie Vision Quest . This coming-of-age sports drama was then delayed for more than a year, which meant Madonna's second album, Like a Virgin , hit record stores months before the film made it to the theaters. Teenage fans had already started wearing rubber bracelets, rosaries and racy outfits by the time V ision Quest debuted in February 1985. Here are a few fun facts about the making of the song:
...
She played the singer in a club — not a stretch for her by any measure. According to Rolling Stone , Madonna's first film was the 1979 offbeat underground work called A Certain Sacrifice . Later in 1985, however, she tackled her first starring role as Susan in Desperately Seeking Susan . She also tied the knot with actor Sean Penn that August. The two would go on to star together in the 1986 box office bomb Shanghai Surprise .
She was signed with Sire Records at the time, but the Vision Quest soundtrack was put out by Geffen Records. Her label was concerned about the song competing with other tracks from her second album Like a Virgin . She already had a hit with "Like a Virgin" and "Material Girl" when "Crazy for You" came out. Several of Madonna's videos were getting a lot of airplay on MTV, and some worried the singer might be overexposed.

The song returned to the charts after being re-released to promote Madonna's greatest hits album The Immaculate Collection . "Crazy for You" nearly made it to the top of the UK charts the second time around.

Madonna Dissed Kevin Costner in 1991 Clip: 'I Was Embarrassed By It'
In the early '90s, Kevin Costner and Madonna's worlds collided in a very unexpected way. Each of the celebrities were already mega-successful in their field; Costner had starred in fan favorites such as Field of Dreams , Bull Durham and the Academy Award-winning Dances With Wolves, which he also directed, while Madonna was riding high as a global pop superstar with hits such as "Like a Virgin" and "Express Yourself." But by the looks of their 1990 meeting backstage after Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour, Costner and the "Material Girl" didn't exactly hit it off.
In a clip from the 1991 documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare (also known as In Bed With Madonna ), Madonna is seen lounging backstage with her then-boyfriend and Dick Tracy co-star Warren Beatty and a slew of celebrties from Al Pacino to Lionel Richie . Among the stars visiting Madonna after her L.A. show is Costner, who came backstage to praise the singer and thank her for the invitation.
"You were great. Thanks for having us," Costner says in the clip. "That was very generous. We thought it was neat."
Whether she viewed the remark as disparaging or took issue with his use of the word "neat," the singer didn't seem to appreciate the comment.
...
As Costner turns to walk away, Madonna makes a gagging motion and quips "'Neat'? Anybody who says my show is 'neat' has to go."
The awkward moment was captured for the world to see in Truth or Dare , which went on to gross $29 million and was the highest-grossing documentary of all time until Bowling For Columbine surpassed it in 2002. That means a lot of people saw Madonna publicly diss Kevin Costner.
In a 2007 interview with The Los Angeles Times , the Yellowstone star reflected on the infamous moment.
But apparently, years later, Madonna had a change of heart. Costner says the pop singer made amends, fittingly, onstage at an L.A. concert.
Costner explains that he took his daughters to see Madonna when she was performing in Los Angeles ("I just thought this is somebody they should see," Costner says. "I didn't call anybody for tickets, I just got tickets and we went down.")
Madonna accused of Photoshopping her head onto TikTok user's body for Instagram photo | The
People are calling out Madonna after a TikTok user claimed that the singer Photoshopped her head onto her body while promoting album Rebel Heart in 2015.
Earlier this month, Amelia Goldie uploaded a TikTok in which she explained that Madonna had actually used a photo of her body, which had been edited to include the 62-year-old's face, for a promotional photo shared to her official Instagram .
"When Madonna posts a photo of herself to IG to promote her album but it's actually your body (I'm not joking)," Goldie captioned the clip, which sees the original photo of herself, and then the edited photo that Madonna posted to her social media account.
The video, which has been viewed more than 2m times, prompted confused reactions from viewers, with many digging through Madonna's Instagram - only to find that the photo in question is still there, where it is captioned: "I look kewl…"
In a follow-up TikTok, the 28-year-old confirmed that the photo is still on the singer's Instagram, where she has more than 15.7m followers, six years later.

Goldie told Vice that she initially thought it was a joke, only to see the photo for herself on Madonna's official Instagram.
When Madonna photoshops her face onto your body (never thought that'd be a sentence I'd say) ##ohno ##madonna
"I laughed and thought it was a joke then realised it was on her official account and couldn't believe it. I was in shock." she said. "I told my parents and they still think it's a joke and can't comprehend how or why it's happened. It's hilarious."
Goldie also said that she has reached out to Madonna's team twice about the situation, but has never received a response.
Madonna Caught Photoshopping Herself Onto An Aussie Woman's Body
We missed you too. Sign up to our newsletter , and follow us on Instagram and Twitter , so you always know where to find us.
Madonna’s known for being a little bit of a kook. Remember the bath incident last year ? Or perhaps the bizarre Eurovision performance the year before ? Or perhaps all the eyebrow-raising COVID conspiracies she shared throughout last year?
She’s always just been… Madonna. So really, the idea of her stealing a Sydney woman’s Instagram photo and badly photoshopping her own head on the body doesn’t really seem that out of the box at all.
Yesterday, Sydney-based content creator Amelia Goldie recounted the strange story across a couple of TikTok videos. She claims that in 2015, Madonna took an image from her Instagram and simply plopped her head on her body, with no word of credit or any explanation, and uploaded it to her official Instagram — which boasts a casual 15.7-million followers.
“I found out when sitting at home and suddenly some of my Instagram followers noticed the photo was mine (at the time I had a little bit of a following, maybe 20K) so much they recognised my photograph and tagged me in it,” Goldie told Music Junkee. “I thought it was a joke! Then realised it wasn't possible because it was her official account.”
...
Goldie reached out to Madonna’s team through Instagram at the time, but received no response.
“I left it and just thought it was crazy but people kept noticing and tagging me over all the years and saying how I should keep trying to contact her,” she says. “I've never heard anything but now it's going viral on TikTok (posted 12 hours ago and has half a million views and growing rapidly) I think they will DEFINITELY know now!”
Madonna suggest Madame X tour doc should go on OnlyFans - Music News | Music-News.com
The 62-year-old singer was believed to have signed a deal with Netflix to broadcast the film which will feature extensive footage from her 75-date 2019/2020 run.
It will also include behind-the-scenes clips of Madonna in action, and is set to detail the battles she had with hip and knee injuries, which forced her to cancel several of her tour dates.
However, the 'Like a Virgin' hitmaker has suggested it might be too X-rated for some platforms and admitted she would be thrilled if it did end up on the adult site.
"OnlyFans – do they have a format to show a whole show? All right, well that's something to think about.
"It could make people feel a little bit uncomfortable because art is art, here to disturb the peace."
Last month, a source claimed: "Madonna quite literally put blood, sweat and tears into the 'Madame X' tour and she wants this documentary to show it off for the spectacle that it was.
"She's never been the type to fade into the background, so viewers will definitely get to witness her dry sense of humour.
"She has spent weeks watching previews and helping to edit the footage at home in the US and is very hands- on with it."
