Dodgers: Cody Bellinger Talks Video Games and His OG Nintendo 64 | Dodgers Nation

Sure he plays all the latest action hits and online multi-player shooters, but, as you'd imagine, playing video games isn't something overly new to the 25-year-old. He's been in it for a while. Like, for a console-that-came-out-in-1996 amount of time. In a recent interview on the "Good Game Nice Try" podcast, Bellinger lit up while talking about his old school Nintendo 64.

I still have a Nintendo 64 that we'll hop in on and play some Mario … I've had it since I was a kid. It's see-through — you can see whatever's inside it. And you're always blowing on the [cartridge] to make it work, it's pretty cool. I got the OG one.

10 Awesome Upcoming 2021 Movies That Would Make Great Video Games

Movies and video games. The two are worlds apart. Beyond the storytelling aspect, video games offer immersive worlds for players to explore whereas movies only offer a window into the world. Yet, there are times when maybe movies can be considered to be video games as well.

* * *

Granted, this can be said about any game out there. That just about every game has no consequences or rules. To play a full-fledge Purge game though with the same rules and aspects from the movies would be interesting.

Study: Pandemic led to more Americans playing video games

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The coronavirus pandemic has kept many of us in our homes looking for different downtime activities, and some experts say more Americans than ever are using that time to play video games.

Trend expert Jenna Shailynn says it's no surprise there was a rise in gameplay in 2020 as it is a good way to meet and connect with new people.

“We saw that 76% of Americans are actually playing video games, and 26% of Americans said they were more interested in esports content than they were in traditional sporting events,” she said.
