In a survey from Gaming accessories firm HyperX, more than half of 13 to 18 year olds said they used games as a way to socialise with friends.
Global lockdowns made sure that 2020 was a high-growth year for the games industry, with the market now worth nearly $160bn (£117bn) with a revenue increase of 9.3 per cent. This was also coupled with the release of new consoles from Xbox and PlayStation at the end of the year which should ensure this growth continues into 2021.

And judging by the footage from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hinokami Keppuutan, aka Demon Slayer: The Video Game, we are kind of in for more of the same here. You can check out the footage below, where five fighters are being shown off in the game's versus mode.
It looks cool, the animated especially is very solid and obviously echoes the show in near-perfect fashion. But I do think that many fans were hoping for more from a Demon Slayer video game. There is supposed to be some sort of story component to the game here, but this is a fighting game studio and it will be mostly focused on that style of play, it seems.

Those in their 20s or early 30s today can be safely be said to have been part of the generation who grew up playing video games for hours. Quick advent in tech, smooth graphics and great game development 90s onwards has given everyone a reason to indulge in gaming for hours unashamedly. It didn't matter if parents yelled or the sky fell.
