Video games are a form of modern art and certainly number among the most recent forms of creative arts 1 . The major difference between video games and traditional art is the active, rather than passive, participation of the recipient of the art in the process of its delivery.
With over 100 active development studios, the gaming industry in Romania employs more than 6,000 people and generates revenues of over 200 million dollars 2 .
However, video games lack a dedicated legal framework in Romania. And even though video games are intellectual-property intensive products, their legal status is unclear, not only in Romania, but also elsewhere in the world.
Quite a lot has been going on:
Hollywood is elevating video games into an art form - The Diamondback
A driving force in this process is The Game Awards, an Oscar-like awards show that celebrates artistry in the field. The awards show takes place in December each year and showcases game awards, musical performances and game reveals. Award categories include Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, as well as Best Performance, a term that encapsulates actors' voice acting and motion capture work.
Games have long been viewed as a leisurely pastime, but with events like The Game Awards, people have begun to recognize them as an art form on the same level as films and other media. Celebrity appearances in games are a magnet for new audiences to recognize the medium, a trend that has become much more prevalent in recent games. Access to better technology also allows games to be flawlessly digitally-recreated, and developers have more tools than ever to express their creative vision.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales and TLOU Part 2 have great video game museums - Polygon
Most video games are built as museums to themselves — inside the menus and beyond the stories are collections of items and lore. Instead of housing a world of information in grand, historic buildings, these museums are based in code. Each is an abstract retelling of the player's journey thus far. This "museum" looks different in any given game; for Red Dead Redemption 2 , the game's memories and history are stored in a notebook to be flipped through.
"There's something interesting that so many games — and this is true for The Last of Us as well — have a museum within the UI," Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann told Polygon. "You get to inspect those artifacts and items and character models. And that's the museum of sorts. I think there's something just innate, of us hoarding and collecting items and being nostalgic about them — our own history and memories."
Cyber Boy Corp.'s 1st Video Game
Video games play a significant part of our development. Not a lot of people know this, but studies reveal that people who participate in video game activities develop a quicker response time than those who do not play video games. People play video games for various reasons. For example, for entertainment. Some have made a career out of playing video games like Henrik "AdmiralBulldog" Ahnberg and Jonathan "Loda" Berg. Others, such as, Sr. Roy Andrade prefer to invent them.

You're stuck in lockdown but that doesn't mean you can't visit a tropical island, a space station or have games night with your friends -- certain video games have filled the need of the world's confined for a bit of distraction, adventure and socializing and achieved unexpected success during the pandemic.
Screw Waypoints, Video Games Should Make You Feel Like An Adventurer
One of the best things about being on holiday is discovering a new place. Sure, getting off the plane and slogging your way to a hotel is about as relaxing as dangling your testicles over a shark tank, but there's something thrilling about it all the same - presumably, this applies to the shark tank thing as well.
We were born into an era without adventurers. We don't need to create our own maps to get around, and all the world is laid bare, just a few button presses away on your phone. Still, seeing where the nearest train station is, where you need to change, and how many stops you need to count (since you don't understand any of the words coming over the intercom) - there's something about it that makes you feel like an adventurer anyway.
John Madden on Madden: The early days of his video game, how he watches the NFL now and more
He hasn't coached in the NFL since 1978. He hasn't called an NFL game from the broadcast booth since the end of the 2008 season. Yet his name is synonymous with pro football.
* * *
What level of pride or excitement is there for you that your name has become synonymous with football on a broader scope than almost anything else having to do with the game? More people probably associate your name with football than almost anyone else in the history of the sport.
