PS4; Vanillaware/Atlus
You'd think a game with 13 protagonists would be a bloated mess, but this is anything but. With a complex, superbly rewarding storyline to piece together and mind-blowing, time-bending revelations around every corner, this mix of visual novel and tower-defence game is a must-play. PL

Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2021: PS5, Xbox, Switch & PC
All things considered, 2020 was at least an O.K. year in the world of video games, with new titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons , Hades , and Final Fantasy 7 Remake - and the sudden surge in popularity of Among Us - providing an escape for many who needed it. 2021's PlayStation , Xbox , Nintendo , and PC video game release schedule promises many more potential hits.

In light of Cyberpunk 's failures, it might be best for players to temper their expectations for 2021's games, especially given the additional challenges imposed on developers working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's likely many of the following titles will be delayed, if their developers want to avoid a launch like Cyberpunk 2077 's. Still, at least a few of these anticipated games will undoubtedly see a release before 2021's end.
3 PlayStation Video Games Movies Sony Could Adapt | Screen Rant
Sony is currently in the process of developing at least three films and seven TV shows based on PlayStation video games. Like the upcoming Uncharted film, movies based on PlayStation games have the potential to deliver high-quality stories, given Sony's tendency to focus on narrative-driven, single-player exclusives. The company has a wide library of PlayStation-exclusive game series, however, so it's not clear which three games will be adapted for the big screen.
What Valve’s top Steam titles of 2020 say about the state of video games - GeekWire
Valve Software announced the top 100 best-performing games of the year on its digital storefront Steam. While there aren't many surprises, it further indicates that in the games industry, the concept of a simple end-of-year breakdown is quickly becoming a historical artifact. Many of the "games of the year" for 2020, especially on Steam, weren't actually new releases.
The way that Valve presents Steam's top sellers is an interesting counterpoint to many of the other end-of-the-year lists, which have naturally been more focused on what's come out in the last 12 months. While Valve's thumb is slightly on the scale here, since its own games like Team Fortress 2 are perennial high earners on its storefront, the Steam top 100 paints a fuller picture of the overall marketplace than a simple yearly top 10 can.
Other things to check out:
My brother-in-law smokes weed, drinks booze and plays video games.
Right now his parents pay his mortgage, which I believe is in their name, and I assume they pay all of his bills. His dad takes care of maintenance on his house and helps with food and "necessities." I assume that they also pay for his medical bills, or simply allow them to go unpaid.
I think that is a great plan on paper, but I see two big issues. First, there is the home which can't simply be divided in half without being sold, which neither my wife or her brother will really want to do. It is paid off.
Griffith entertainment venue Twincade featuring retro video games is closing; 'It's heartbreaking
Owner Patricia Sidener recently announced on social media that Twincade, a bar and restaurant featuring pinball machines and many of the old-school video games, wouldn't be able to survive through the pandemic any longer, patrons and other fans have contributed slightly more than $2,300 to the effort, according to its donation page on Facebook. She's extremely grateful to everyone, because it's gotten past the point where she can do much more to help.
It isn't for lack of trying, she said. The pandemic's trajectory and the state's ever-changing executive orders have made running the business untenable, at least for the time being.
'GTA 6' devs learned 1 critical lesson from 2020's biggest video game flop
Grand Theft Auto 6 can't forget single player. While Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have both featured single-player campaigns, Rockstar has focused more energy on building out online modes for these games rather than continue single-player stories through a sequel.
New comments from Rockstar indicate the developers are keenly aware of this problem, hinting that GTA 6 won't neglect the single-player experience.
GQ recently spoke with senior members of the Rockstar team about the Cayo Perico Heist that released for GTA Online last week. While there's a lot that GTA 6 watchers can speculate about from this new heist, it's notable for being open to solo players, who will reap greater rewards as they don't have to split it.
Games prove Christmas hit as UK spends holiday in lockdown | Games | The Guardian
Steam, the PC gaming platform, recorded its largest ever Christmas Day, according to public stats, with almost 25 million people logged on to the service at 3.10pm UK time, more than 6 million of whom were actively playing a game concurrently. That was up from the 15 million who logged on to the service at once on Christmas Day 2019.

By contrast, Sony and Microsoft are notoriously tight-lipped about player counts for PlayStation and Xbox, but both entered the festive season with much to celebrate. The two companies continue to sell their new consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X & S, as fast as they can make them, a fact that has caused no small amount of stress for households trying to secure one of the coveted machines to leave under the tree.
