HS Basketball: Glenburn girls looking to make regionals after hot start | KX NEWS

A 4-0 start for the Glenburn girl’s basketball team could lead to new expectations for this season. We spoke with the team about what is leading to the early success.

“I think it has been a big mentality change, they have kind of bought in,” said head coach Jordan Pederson. “They know what they are capable of and they’re confident in their capabilities.”

After losing to Rugby by three in the Region tournament last season, the Panthers know they are close when it comes to being a contender.

Girls: 10 Worst First Dates The Characters Had | ScreenRant

Girls shows the dating scene with an unfiltered realism that could never be called idealized or accused of shying away from the more uncomfortable sides of things. But for all the cringeworthy moments, there are a few that stand out above the rest.

Many fans eagerly awaited the Marnie and Booth hookup after the show built up the sexual tension between her and the artist during the first season. Booth even hypes up his skills by saying he knows what he's doing ... spoiler: he doesn't.

Centennial boys and girls' basketball hot streaks continue

Both the Centennial boys' and girls' basketball teams are off to undefeated starts to their seasons after picking up wins against Ames on Dec. 22.

The Centennial boys (4-0) took down Ames 55-53 in dramatic fashion. Jackson Snyder drove into the paint for the game-winning layup with seconds left in regulation after the Jaguars stole the ball from Ames. Teammate Lio Aguirre scored 21 to lead Centennial, which trailed by 13 at halftime.

Four days prior, Centennial beat Marshalltown 72-62. Snyder and Colin McAleer scored 20 and 18, respectively. McAleer had 12 rebounds, too.

The Recorder - There is a season: Chinese sweet-hot glaze makes fried tofu-broccoli dish

Although I am Jewish and my husband is not, we still take a page from my people when it comes to celebrating Christmas. I'm not yet sure what movie the four of us will be watching, but I know we'll be eating Chinese food.

Our go-to Chinese restaurant is Great Wall in Florence. We tend to order off the "gourmet" menu, but my little girls just eat plain rice and steamed dumplings. We'll probably order from them for Christmas to support them, but this week I had a sudden hankering for Chinese that I couldn't ignore.

'Bridgerton' on Netflix Review: Sexy, Charming, and Endlessly Entertaining | Glamour

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a period piece with even the slightest resemblance to a Jane Austen novel must be in want of a viewer. And that viewer is me. All a project needs to get me on board is at least one Empire-waist dress and a plucky heroine who dreams of disrupting society's rules. If there's a dashing hero with a strong moral code, hey, even better.

So Bridgerton on Netflix, a new series following the highs and lows of the high society set in Regency-era London, was always going to appeal to me. Produced by Shonda Rhimes, Bridgerton is essentially a mash-up of all my favorites—and I'm guessing yours too.
