With virtually everyone on the team back this season, the Lady Bulldogs feel strong about their chances of repeating that feat as the state cross country championships get under way.
There will be a different format to this year's meet, held at the infield of Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. It will be a two-day event, and it will run Thursday and Friday as the racetrack will be involved with the Breeder's Cup horse racing event on Saturday.

SINGAPORE — A domestic helper who dipped a one-year-old girl's hand into a boiling pot of water had earlier requested for a transfer as she was incapable of caring for the baby.
However Lin Lin Htwe, a Myanmar national was denied the transfer by the agent after she was unable to pay the transfer fee.
The maid, 30, was jailed for 14 months on Wednesday (28 October) after she was caught on video appearing to dip the baby's hand into a pot on a stove several times.

FRANKLINVILLE — Ryleigh John scored a hat trick, all in the first half, leading the Salamanca girls soccer season to a 4-1 league win over Franklinville on Wednesday.
Harley Brown scored the fourth goal for Salamanca (7-3) in the CCAA East matchup, while Marla Warrior had two assists and Sharee Armstrong and Mariah Downey had one each. Salamanca goalkeeper Makenzie Oakes made five saves. The Warriors have won six of their last seven games, solidifying themselves above .500 to ensure a playoff berth.

Staff members start Spring Street hot dog stand – The Williams Record
On a warm fall day on Spring Street, one might have been pleasantly surprised to find a bright red umbrella shading a cart offering juicy hot dogs made with a blend of beef and pork. A new addition to Spring Street this fall, Hazell's Hot Dog Stand is run by soon-to-be-married couple CJ Hazell and Brittany Lillie, both dining services workers at the College who embarked on the journey to open a hot dog stand when they received their COVID-19 stimulus money.
During warmer months, Hazell and Lillie sell Kayem Natural Casing hot dogs for $3 each. On top of the dog, they offer onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, diced pickles, sriracha, ketchup, mustard and relish, along with bacon, cheese, chili sauce and sauerkraut for $0.50 extra.
