Tyra Banks has confessed to being proud that her Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue shoot crashed the magazine’s website.
The 46-year-old model has actually been on the cover 3 times during her profession – in 1996, 1997 and 2019 – and Tyra was specifically pleased to see the impact of her newest shoot for the magazine.
Tyra said: ”I was on it, again, last year. And for the first time in the history of the Sports Illustrated having a website – not Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition website, the Sports Illustrated website – it crashed.”

The swimsuit issue is among the most-popular magazine editions in the world. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit revealed eight rookie models on its Instagram page on Friday.
“Being constantly pushed, inspired, and surrounded by strong, diverse, and beautiful women inside and out was the highlight of working with SI Swimsuit and what makes it an absolute dream. It is truly a family and a place where women can feel empowered and beautiful in their own ways!” SI Swimsuit rookie Josephine Skriver said.
