Metamorphosis video game review: The Kafka industry makes its way to video games - The Washington

In hindsight, it was inevitable that someone would opt to gamify the work of Franz Kafka.

"Metamorphosis" refashions Kafka's most famous tale, about a man who wakes up to discover that he has been transformed into an insect, into a sprightly puzzle-platformer which made me laugh on several occasions.

Unlike the novella on which it's based, the Gregor Samsa of the game does not wake to find himself with a carapace and twitchy little legs in the apartment he shares with his family. Rather, he awakens to a hangover and is unsure at first where he is until he recognizes the familiar sight of his friend Josef K.'s lodgings. ( Yes , that Josef K. — the much put-upon protagonist of Kafka's unfinished novel "The Trial.

Unleashing The Beast: Werewolves in Video Games - Bloody Disgusting

It seems that werewolves have taken a backseat when it comes to video games. Vampires and zombies are the ones that seem to get the most attention, yet the inherent cool factor in being a werewolf gets left behind. Sure, we have the upcoming Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood which finally pays attention to lycanthropes, but there are plenty of other games that have explored werewolves that sadly have been neglected.

Keep in mind that this list is devoted to games where you can play as a werewolf, and not necessarily those games that just have werewolves in them.

Gaming Club brings students safely together through video games | Ohio Northern University

As Ohio Northern University students continue to do their part to maintain a safe campus environment during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis by wearing masks, disinfecting surfaces and socially distancing, one student group is helping students come together safely online.

Organizers chose to limit the tournaments to ONU students to make it feel more like a campus event where players and spectators alike can come together to socialize after a week of socially distanced classes. The aim for the Twitch stream is to be a safe space for the campus community to play the games they love in a way that mirrors a traditional campus gathering.
