Well we're officially entering the busy season for video games. It's already been a pretty busy year despite the coronavirus pandemic leading to shutdowns and quarantines and the business of actually making video games hitting a pretty hard wall.
You certainly wouldn't know that based on September's video game release list. A bunch of games are on their way including some pretty big ones. From superheroes to zombies, scheming lords to pro skaters, there's a little bit of something for everyone in September.

If you've found yourself glued to your video game console during the COVID-19 pandemic, you're definitely not alone. In the first quarter of 2020, Americans spent a record $ 10.86 billion on video games. Twitch, a popular video game streaming platform, saw its daily hours watched spike from 13 million to 31 million between Jan. 1 and March 28.
Partway through The Last of Us Part II, as the protagonist, Ellie, you trudge through the flooded, crumbling ruins of an old bookstore. At one point, your flashlight falls on several cartoonish, pink mushrooms painted on the walls. "Pretty messed up, putting mushrooms in the kid's section," another character notes grimly. "Mushrooms didn't exactly carry the same meaning back then," Ellie responds.
Coronavirus not so good for video games after all
It is starting to look like the coronavirus was not so good for some aspects of the gaming community.
Oakland's nonprofit " Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment " housed 40,000 historic pieces of videogame memorabilia — including 11,000 playable games has been forced to close.
Founder and director Alex Handy said in an interview with GamesBeat that the group managing the museum couldn't reach an agreement on rent for the place during the COVID-19 crisis.

Esports and gaming organization FaZe Clan has announced high school basketball recruit LeBron "Bronny" James Jr will join their organization.
The news was posted via two FaZe Clan tweets on Sunday afternoon with one including a hype video featuring basketball highlights of Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James , as well as highlights from video games, namely Fortnite and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
