The update was a selfie video and she stood indoors in front of a wall covered by sheer curtains. Although the model didn’t elaborate on why she was dressed up, it looked like she was ready to enjoy a night out on the town.
The ensemble was brightly patterned with a color palette that included blues, white, and black. The oval-shaped cutout allowed her to showcase her cleavage, and it had a high neckline and short sleeves. The dress hugged her curves and emphasized her hourglass figure, and had a flowing skirt that began by her hips. The abstract design had graphics that were reminiscent of butterfly wings.

SARS-CoV-2 gene deletions may cause milder infections and increase human-to-human
In their recent paper released on the bioRxiv * preprint server, a research group from Spain demonstrated how genome changes and deletions in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) could represent a strategy of natural selection used for lessening the impact of infection in order to increase viral transmission potential.
The entry of the SARS-CoV-2 genome into the cell starts when its surface subunit S1 of the spike glycoprotein (S-protein) binds to the ACE2 human receptor. At the same time, the S2 subunit is in charge of fixing the S-protein to the viral membrane surface.
Response to Comment on "RNA-guided DNA insertion with CRISPR-associated transposases" | Science
Rice et al . suggest that the CRISPR-associated transposase ShCAST system could lead to additional insertion products beyond simple integration of the donor. We clarify the outcomes of ShCAST-mediated insertions in Escherichia coli , which consist of both simple insertions and integration of the donor plasmid. This latter outcome can be avoided by use of a 5′ nicked DNA donor.
To investigate the exact structure of the insertion product, we performed nanopore sequencing of 15 Scytonema hofmanni CAST (ShCAST)–mediated genome insertions in E. coli and found nine simple insertions and nine co-integrates across several target sites ( Fig. 1A ). Similarly, a genetic assay using a plasmid target revealed about 20% co-integrate insertions ( Fig. 1B ).
Fact Check: 5 Reasons Why The Coronavirus Is Not 'Man-made' | Asian Scientist Magazine |
Controversial claims over the coronavirus' origin have proliferated on the internet. Here, we examine the scientific evidence that supports its natural origins.
AsianScientist (Jun. 5, 2020) – With the world fighting an unseen enemy, the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the virus behind COVID-19, have understandably received intense scrutiny.
In the absence of a clear answer, fringe theories regarding the virus' supposed man-made origin have spread like wildfire. Though seemingly harmless, such theories create an atmosphere of "fear, rumors and prejudice that jeopardise our global collaboration in the fight against this virus," as said by 27 international scientists in a strongly worded statement published in The Lancet .
