In the video, posted on Ballinger's personal YouTube channel on Tuesday, she told her side of the story that 17-year-old Adam McIntyre had shared in his own video in April.
McIntyre alleged that Ballinger, who is now 33, had mailed him lingerie when he was only 13 years old, and the two continued to remain friends over the years. McIntyre claimed that he helped write Miranda Sings content between December 2017 and March 2020, a timeline that McIntyre's parent previously told Insider.

She then issued a sweeping apology for handling difficult topics with humor instead of sensitivity over the years, admitting that she didn't think about how it would affect others.

She denied McIntyre's claim that she ignored him, saying she did not immediately speak out about the concerns "to respect the wishes" of the teen's mother.
Closing out her video, Ballinger said she will "continue to learn" from her mistakes and grow as a human being, but asked that cyberbullies learn that words have power, just as she has.
